Tried it, hated it. Not even as good as BFV which is sad, and easily stomped on by BF4 which is downright ancient at this point. Even if bugs are fixed, don't support this nonsense.

Early Access Review
Re-written, changed from not recommending to recommending.

Pavlov has finally received its long-awaited update to Unreal Engine 5.1 and with it it solves one of the biggest issues it had previously - a dwindling PCVR playerbase. It now supports crossplay with PSVR and the player base is more unified and accessible than ever before. New update seems to be running great for me and it's been plenty of fun.

Wow, what a load of crap. Not only does this not run in a decent manner at all with an overclocked RTX 2070 Super, the art style is wack too. This just feels like a slap in the face to people who were earlier adopters of ray tracing. Also, it feels like similar visuals could be had for a whole lot less performance loss if they did away with raytracing.

This game is soooooo adorable - the puzzles aren't super hard, but they stump me now and then but never feel unfair. The game just relies on you taking your time and being observant. I love this game so far. No regrets.

This game is kinda cancer, in my opinion. I find it unrewarding and frustrating, and the game puts emphasis on skins but its all built around inducing FOMO and making you either grind or pay money for skins in a limited window of time. I cannot express enough how much I detest the way the devs treat the players. Removed, won't be playing again.

Cant play it - no CD key and steam doesn't let you contact them for help. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, valve.

Pleasantly surprised me - I bought the original years ago and played it to death. Went into this one not entirely sure what to expect; the changes have so far absolutely tickled me. Loving it.

Yikes - unless you have a VERY, VERY VERY powerful GPU, I would avoid this. My 1080Ti is currently down and out and I'm hobbling by on a 290X for the next bit. I can play Dying Light 2 reasonably well. I can play Doom Eternal with good settings at 1080p and 60-80FPS, and I can play Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead 2 just fine - not super high FPS or high graphics settings but totally playable.

Odyssey's performance is abysmal and the graphics look.. just.. bad?? I don't get it. Even when I crank the graphics at t he expense of any and all performance I could possibly get from this, the textures look awful, the lighting is wonky and unnatural, and overall it's just... eehhh.

Gameplay wise, ooof. It feels suuuper shallow right now and unfinished. Gunplay feels weak and unsatisfying, and space station just feels like a tedious version of the menu system rather than a living-breathing RPG world. I should not have purchased this DLC, despite having waited 5 years for space legs. If they couldn't have done it right, then they should not have done this at all.

t's kind of a straight downgrade from DL1 apart from a couple of QOL fixes and the lack of piss-filter all over the screen unlike DL1 (Seriously, I need a mod just to de-yellow the original game). Graphics are marginally better, but not enough to justify the performance difference. Few likeable characters, the story was a load of trash that I liked at the beginning but came to HATE by the ending, and the whole "your choices have consequences" thing turned out to be total bunk. If you're choosing between DL1+The Following versus buying DL2, it's a no brainer. Pick the first game. It's more fun.

I love, love love this game. Been playing for over a decade. That said, Valve has neglected this game for a few years. They do not put time or effort into this game anymore, and problems are accumulating and the content is slowly becoming stale.

PLEASE Valve, PLEASE work on this title again. It's a wonderful game with more time left in it, but you GOTTA keep working on it!
