A chilled mix between House Flipper & The Sims. Not too hard but just enough challenge to stop things getting dull.

Addictively good; Renowned Explorers *seems* easy to play with its charming style and the fact it likes to poke fun at itself, but its easy to become over-confident and complacent and just like that: your expedition comes to an end.
A breath of fresh air in a market saturated with AAA clones.

Recommended.

This game gets a bad rep which is kind of sad. Sure, its not a turn-based XCOM game, but the trailers alerted you of this from the offset. And yes, its not the FPS game we were waiting for either.

BUT if you take the game for what it is, it is a good solid game with a decent story, and some good fun to be had. A third-person squad/action game with a "pause and give orders" mechanic, it plays like Mass Effect 2 / 3 set in the XCOM universe.

If you're a fan of XCOM its great to see some of the enemies in their earlier incarnations, and if you're fond of americana culture set in an interesting period of time, then this game is worth a look.

I'd recommend buying it when its on sale, but enjoyed it and would recommend it to others who are fans of the genre.

A fantastic game if you want to get back to space-shooting action basics. Its insanely easy to control (hold RMB to accelerate, LMB to aim, Tab to next enemy, T to lock on enemy, Space to shoot)
Its fun, fast, frantic and well worth the £3.99 it currently is on Steam.
Reminds me a lot of ELITE (for anyone who remembers that) and it has a great sense of humour if you read the text.

This game isn't breaking any new ground but is going over old ground with its own spin on it and a grin on its face.

A truly impressive and immersive game which is not exactly surprising considering the source material and the studio behind its translation to the small digital screen.

The Wolf Among Us has a unique visual style which is immediately reminiscent of TellTalle Games' "The Walking Dead" series yet also just different enough to make it feel completely different; especially when adding in the music and sense of ambience. Where The Walking Dead is bleak, The Wolf Among us is neon-splattered colourful. Where TWD is a stark and glaring, TWAU is more gritty and surreal.

The characters are well conceptualised - again this is likely because of their coming from the comic-book series "Fables" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fables_(comics) ), but Telltale do a great job of animating and voicing them, making them believable flawed individuals from an extraordinary world struggling to survive in our own "normal" world. They're fairytale characters of legend who are having difficulties fitting in with residents of modern day NYC.
The story is good and engaging, and the action sequences follow the same pattern as TWD - basically quick-time events which are very, VERY quick and come without warning. You have to watch and listen, investigate and then BAM! fight to survive when the game throws you a curve ball.

Highly recommended, can't wait for the next installment.

PS: Fans of White Wolf's "Changeling: The Dreaming" are going to LOVE this.

Still as frantic.
Still as gut-wrenching.
Still as fun.

Playing as Clem puts a whole new spin on things - and adds to the palpable sense of dread.
