Dear SNK Team,

I am reaching out to report several issues regarding the rollback netcode in KOF XIII Global Match on Steam.
Many players incluind myself, have been experiencing significant problems that affect online gameplay quality.

Below are some key concerns:

1 - Ping/MS inconsistency: The ping displayed in the lobby does not match the actual in-game latency.
Once the match starts, the MS value doubles, making connections feel worse than expected.

2 - Rolback instability: Eve with a low ping (ex: 23ms), the game constantly suffers from unstable rollback frames.
Adjusting the rollback setings and adding input delay does not seem to improve the experience.

3 - Match slowdown issues: Even when selecting a static background, matches still experience slowdowns, making the gameplay inconsistent.

4 - Lack of a beta test: It is surprising that KOF XIII Global Match was not released a proper beta test to collect feedback from the community.
Previous rollback implementations, such as in KOF 2002UM and KOF 98UM handle by Code Mystics, were much better optmized.

5 - Concerns about long-term support: We hope these issues will not remain unaddressed, as happened with the PS4/PS5 versions of the game.

6 - Forced input delay: Even with a 30ms connection, players are forced to include 2ms of input delay to make matches feel somewhat stable, which negatively impacts responsiveness.

KOF XIII is a beloved title in the FGC and the addition of rollback was a highly anticipated featured.
However, the current state of the netcode does not provide a reliable online experience.
We kindly ask for an official statement regarding future fixes or updates to improve rollback functionality.
