Despite being a short campaign, Shadowrun Returns is fantastic. The portraits are well drawn, the environments well set for a cyberpunk future. Various skills, and weapons can be pre-set into a class or you can define your own 'class' by picking and choosing the types of skills and weapons you wish to specialize in.

I recommend this game for anyone that's a fan of turn-based RPGs and cyberpunk elements.

Don't Starve is fantastic. Warning, it can cause you to play hours and hours at a time. There's just something so addicting about battling (and scavenging) the wilderness in order to survive. You start off collecting berries, twigs, seeds and flowers before moving onto cutting trees, mining for minerals, and digging holes (for various reasons). As you continue on, surviving the days, you begin to set up your own stockpile of weapons/armor and food items to take on bigger creatures/objects and well to survive longer.

The purpose of the game is too survive as long as you can because if you die, it's literally game over. There's no continue or save spot to retry. Which in itself can be harsh but it gives a good challenge to the game to make you think and consider your options before you attempt something. Plus it's got a variety of characters (which you unlock as you survive more and more days), each with their own distinct advantages and weaknesses, that can make each new attempt different. The world you explore also automatically regenerates everything you start a new character.

Tips: Log Suit + Football Helmet + Spear go a long way. Be mindful of Hounds, the longer you survive, the more that seem to find and chase you.
