Same deal, 3800X/RTX2070, getting sub 60fps on 1080p/Medium. Didn’t get off Coruscant and not giving EA/Respawn the benefit of the doubt that it’ll get better given the first impression; I’ll just go play the first one again instead.

Update:

Picked up on sale after refunding. Don't be me. It's still bad.

Update 2:

Story is good, game isn't. Performance issues aside (which are not yet resolved), the combat system is...fine. Everything feels heavy and slow, without also feeling powerful. Enemies often move and attack much faster which creates a weird rhythm to combat. Whether the fight is easy or hard, the flow of combat almost always feels off. This would be ok if it wasn't everything this game had to offer. There are some movement puzzles, which also have some of the same problems, and collectibles. Lots of collectibles. That's it. Almost everything added has made the game more unwieldy. The essence of this game is it's combat, and that is distinctly mediocre.

Just play the first one. Combat is smoother, the game is simpler, and performance doesn't get in the way.

Developers have done right by the community at every stage of development, and continue to improve an already amazing game. The formula for levels is simple: explore, gather, escape (sometimes there's a defend thrown in there too) and executed flawlessly. If you don't like your first levels, there's not much else around the corner, but if you DO like your first levels--buckle up.
