Everyone downvoting for changes that never happened. Seperating core gameplay from animations and visuals. Complaining over regions and UI issues that have 0 impact on the game because behind the scenes everything is working fine, yet failing to discern that and acting as if they were causing actual problems.
And ppl are surprised when no one takes us seriously anymore. Hope the "No XY servers / Movespeed nerfed" peops at least change their reviews.

Other than that there are legit reason to like or dislike the game. For me, the visuals, the destruction, the core gameplay loop, they all feel satsifying.
Main gripes would be lack of customization when it comes to weapons and gadgets, and the respawn mechanic. Makes it very tedious with randoms, because getting defib'ed at half hp in the middle of a fight with 2 seconds remaining to respawn at full hp safely is no bueno. Get killed, wait another 10 sec, then last teammate gets killed as well, timer reset to 20 sec again. Stuff like that. Makes you have to think when to push and when to wait for respawns, but without a premade team it can be extremely frustrating. Maybe change the mechanic for quickplay and keep it for tournaments.

Too buggy right now. Reload bugs out, ammo bugs out, textures bug out, people turn invis (not talking about Nosferatu here), their shots turn invis, abilities go on perma cooldown, abilities don't fire properly, damage bugs out (prolly the worst of the bunch). Also way too laggy, rubberbanding especially during peak playtime hours.

All in all fun and one of the more interesting BRs, but then again, it's a BR. Things that can be tolerated in shooters with lower stakes and respawns and such, are just infuriating in this genre. Everytime I give BRs a try, I can't quite fathom how they made it this big (this sub-genre in general). Even winning rounds feels awkward, because prolly someone else had the upper hand at some point, but bugs carried one to victory. Dunno.

Ah, also this is yet another one with a teammate revive mechanic (when they're already down AND out), plus when downed and not killed you also stand up by your own. Kinda defeats the purpose of a BR IMO.

When you pop a xp boost, tackle all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battlepass challenges in one round, capture 2 flags, round's about to end, and the game kicks you out, "Disconnected from local network". No I'm not. Every other game works fine. But thanks for not counting challenge progress. Or letting me reconnect. Why am I still signed into the Halo/Microsoft network then btw? Why is there the most insane input lag on KB/M to begin with? Why am I dying around corners on 9ms ping? Oh nvm, disconnected from local network again.

If you liked Pony Island and The Hex, you'll like this. And know what to expect... sorta. Not really. But that's the magic of these games. This one seems to be the most ambitious one so far and IMO it absolutely delivers. Don't spoil yourself, play and enjoy, even if you're not a fan of deck-building or roguelike (being open towards it helps though).
