Shinji Mikami definitely knows how to create masterpiece.

I'd say this game is mix of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The game contains an interesting crime thriller-mystery subgenre since the main character is a police detective and abruptly transmitted into the depraved mind of a serial killer, exploring, discovering, encountering and circumventing many of the disturbing horrors which inhabit the individual's psychological core. The gameplay, graphics and character functionalities look quite realistic, giving it a subverted take on the survival horror genre due to using your wit and the surrounding environment to your advantage, which ammo is quite scarce. It's rated M for obvious reasons, loads of bloodshed, gore, and plenty of profanity.

Highly recommended.
