This game has played well for me since launch. Every bug or issue brought to the devs attention have been addressed and fixed or at a minimum acknowledged and listed in each patch note section.
While many are annoyed anytime something is 'Nerfed' when taking into account other weapons it brings them into a form of balance. The Devs goal appears to be one straying away from a true Meta, and closer to a personal style.
That being said the highest difficulties are more gorilla tactics of hit and run (still quite alot of fighting to be had) than to mow down everything you see.
Personally the best game I have played in the last decade, even with the now (positiviely) solved PSN issue.
