A very well done unofficial extension of the Portal series.

I expected a meme game, but it's actually got pretty solid gameplay mechanics. It's basically a very British stealth game.

It's a short and very odd narrative-focused game but it's packed with story, and in the 10 hours or so it'll take you to finish it it achieves quite a lot. The characters are all pretty interesting and gameplay-wise it's got some platforming elements and various mini-games. The art style is simple yet charming and the dialogue system works brilliantly.

One of the pricier games on Steam but you do get a lot more out of this than most games. Love the dead eye, hand-to-hand and horse systems, and all the little encounters, wild animal behaviours and gradually progressing construction projects that work to make the game feel alive.

I do wish there was just a bit more end-game content because completing the challenges and tasks can feel a bit arduous without unexpected encounters and events to spice things up a bit, but to be honest with all the content there is it's hard to fault them for not having more after you complete the story.

A lot of the story missions follow Rockstar's tried-and-true mission design: go somewhere, get in trouble and shoot your way out of it. But honestly, I didn't find that an issue - the debt collection missions, optional side missions and random encounters are all very different and, and there are plenty of them to keep things interesting. You'll spend a lot less time on the story than on everything else.

A lot of fun. Combat is fantastic. Story is decent. Took about 30 hours to finish.

I found this game after Life is Strange. If you like that, you'll like the Walking Dead games too (and, I imagine, vice versa!). Although the stories are totally different, the idea is similar - you take control over the protagonist's dialog and actions, giving you a connection to the story that no TV series could ever hope to match. I say that specifically because these types of games are really more like interactive stories, rather than actual games. Don't expect difficult combat or unique gameplay - it's really all about the impactful storytelling.

That said, I think it's true that your actions only really lead to relatively minor variations in the story - you probably won't unlock a whole new arc with the right dialogue or anything. But that didn't matter to me - the choices regardless create the sense of agency that makes these games what they are, and unless you're playing it through multiple times (which for me isn't the point of games like this) you won't notice that anyway.

Really shows how more traditional games can be made to work well in VR. Unmissable.

As moving as the original, maybe even more so when you really connect the two.

Insanely engaging... after episode 4 I couldn't not go straight to episode 5. Probably the most I've ever been emotionally affected by any media, ever.
