I've been playing card games for most of my life. Mainly Magic and Hearthstone, but I've dabbled in Eternal and Duelyst and ESL and others. And Shadowverse ticks a lot of the boxes for doing a game right. It's fun, has great variety in classes and strategies, is easy to learn but complex to master, has a great community... but one of the things that REALLY sets it apart is the time and effort the developers have put in to making it a top-shelf experience. You get a veritable truckload of free packs just for creating an account, more for completing the story modes, and even more after every delay and hiccup and bugfix. Cygames seems deadset on taking care of its players, not only with the ease of f2p but with their admirable transparency to any issues or concerns. Even though the game is fairly new and just starting to gain steam, Cygames's attitude makes it hard to be anything but optimistic that all these good things will continue.
