Final Fantasy VII will always be my favorite game, it's not even close to change. This game brings back so much good memories, and every time I start a new playthrough, I'm getting the same emotions. We are at the end of 2024 and nothing changed.

1250 hours on Steam, over 500 hours just on the PS1 version and also a lot of hours on the PS4 version, and I've NEVER been bored of playing this game, or watch playthroughs of it. Definitely the BEST Final Fantasy imo (alongside FFX, FFIX and also FFVIII that is getting too much bad critics while being a really good game), I just love everything in this game:
- The characters (Tifa and Aerith will of course always be my favorites)
- The materia system (even though it's broken asf lol, same for the accessories)
- The story is just too good, with obviously a lot of weird stuff in the og game but I mean, it got released not finished and still managed to be so good
- As a big fan of turnbased rpg, of course I do love the combat system overall (both active/non-active)
- For its era, the cutscenes were amazing (and still look really good nowadays tbf)
- I'm not even gonna talk about the OST, it's perfect, thanks Master Uematsu for existing, it's my favorite one among every other games and I'm so happy he went back with FFVII Remake and Rebirth (Part 3 waiting room here)
- The Mod community in this game is insane, with so many good and funny mods (the FFVII community in general is full of beautiful people, bless them)
- And last, but not least, the fact this game is SO BROKEN and we're still finding some crazy stuff in 2024 just makes this game even better and also a living legend, I can't wait to see what we will find in the future

I know some people still didn't give this game a try just because of the graphics, but I'm gonna be completely honest, and I think any other FFVII fan will tell you the same:
This game is WORTH your attention, and you really should play it (the Steam version is really good btw). The beginning of the game can feel a bit long, but you will never regret starting this game, believe me. Thanks for reading, take care!
