Incredibly addictive, performs well at high settings on a 2070 Super, R5 3600, M.2 SSD & 32GB RAM. I thought it would be a bit repetitive, another shoot 'em up generic game. Left 4 Dead in the 40k universe but each of the classes have their own unique responsibilities and abilities, there can be a lot going on at once if you want to excel at it. The variety of weapons and customisation keeps things interesting as well. The game rewards teamwork but even if you're a lone wolf, you can still have a lot of fun, the game doesnt force voice communication on you or anything, you can use signals or ingame chat, the character audio voice lines indicate the various needs and events as well. This isn't a CoD rambo type game though, if you run off on your own and lose situational awareness, the AI Director definitely notices and punishes that kind of behavior! (although certain classes seem to be able to survive pretty well going off rambo on their own, compared to other classes, which probably doesn't exactly discourage that kind of behaviour unfortunately)

If you're a 40k fan, whether the lore/books or games/tabletop, its a no-brainer. The artwork/graphics and audio can be gorgeous and overall very atmospheric.

I think the only complaints i'd have is how some of the ingame class specific "achievements" can be really annoying to get, they can also encourage selfish/destructive gameplay, to the detriment of your team. Some of the really nice cosmetics are linked to these achievements as well, so that can be frustrating, if its something you care about.

I've also noticed how really low level players are able to join in on higher level maps/games that they're just not ready for and tend to really handicap the other players in the team.

Flawless performance on PC, characters that you actually end up having an emotional investment in, which can be quite rare in games these days, plus there are some really engaging missions (and some really messed up ones that hit you in the heart). I am just hooked on this game, tons of variety, you can get at the very least 3 different replays of the game before you get too bored thanks to the different paths and mission outcomes that are possible, similar to Mass Effect.

My only complaint? Once you get anywhere near level 20 it can be a bit too easy with certain weapons and skills, even on max difficulty settings. I'm more in it for the story line anyway so it's not that big a deal.

Some of the conversations with one of the main characters, Silverhand really gave me goosebumps as well, the sound design during those conversations/cut scenes can hit you pretty hard.

If you loved Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, The Witcher, Dragon Age Inquisition etc, you'll definitely appreciate Cyberpunk, great value for money despite the god awful launch for console players. (or perhaps you might be one of those that had very high expectations for the game? I went in blind, purposely didn't follow any of the development so I was very satisfied with what I got)

Early Access Review
It's like a more intuitive and graphically more interesting version of DayZ.

The atmosphere of the game is amazing, it can be incredibly relaxing traveling across the map, listening to natures ambiance, looting, crafting, hunting for food. Then suddenly you'll see a flash of movement, hear a shuffle or a distant gun shot and you're instantly incredibly paranoid heartbeat thumping for the next 20 minutes. Even if it was all in your head, the potential of interactions with other players can be very impactful. Rarely you'll make a friend unless you're both a fresh spawn or on similar gear levels because they're just as paranoid as you are, the sense of loss if you've crafted up or geared up well usually makes interactions with other players quite short, nasty and brutal. But quite often you can avoid them with a bit of stealth and caution, either way it's incredibly atmospheric.

There's a lot to do, between exploration, looting, crafting, base building, hunting wildlife or other players. Enough to keep you going for a few weeks before it gets repetitive anyway.

Communication between the devs and the playerbase is definitely above average compared to most games, patches are frequent but unfortunately can end up having a lot of unintended consequences that require patches to be patched and so forth, it's "early access" afterall.

There's a lot of constant issues with hackers+exploiters for this reason as well, new patches can mean new opportunities for breaking the game. This can be mitigated by sticking to private servers with good active admins however.

The community can be a bit toxic at times because of how brutal the pvp is, there's not much opportunity for positive player interactions on that end. But you can develop friendships and encourage positive interactions through example or sticking to the same server. There are plenty of clans and mechanics in the game to form your own squads as well, if you're not the solo player type.

Incredibly addictive game, played it non-stop for about 2-3 days so far.

There comes a point though at around level 15 where things change very very fast, suddenly you're up against opponents who have much much better bases, units, experience, perks etc everything you don't have. I was winning about 80% of my fights up until that point, enjoying trying out different tactics and combinations but then at around level 15 you're thrown in with the big dogs. Suddenly you realise the things you're up against are not really achieveable unless you put in the same amount of time or gold (pay to win) that your opponents are. So every game from then onwards is 80% losses and you dont even gain anything from losses so progression becomes non-existant, you're dependant on cards to have a chance of winning games but you only gain cards from winning or by paying for them with basic currency that you get from winning... catch 22.

Still worth trying out though, even for those first few days which are a lot of fun, plus its early access so who knows, things might change. (yet theres all sorts of pay to win features in the game despite "early access" so that makes me think this game really wont last very long, not to mention its reddit section is completely dead and nobodys playing it on twitch, two reasons that also make me think this game is not gonna last long)
