It's pretty good!
Comes from Toukana Interactive (Dorfromantik devs) and Kurzgesagt. A nice puzzle/automation game, if you like shapez, you'll like it.

Also egg cryptosleep caskets? wow :D

It's hands-down the best Rimworld DLC so far!

WE HAVE SHIPS NOW! You can finally make your own ship and customize it through your journey on the rim while living a nomadic lifestyle. This reminds me so much of Starsector and Ostranauts where you basically live on ships and upgrade/tune them with time. The new scenario is awesome since it forces you to live a nomadic lifestyle until you can deal with those pesky mechs. It's about the journey, not the destination. Obligatory reminder: This is NOT an equivalent of Save Our Ship (2), both are completely different in their implementation. Odyssey is much more focused on exploration and still keeps to the old way of Rimworld while the mod alters the late-game completely and focus on different things! Just to keep in mind if you were thinking of getting Odyssey as SOS replacement. It's not a replacement but hey now you have TWO different spaceship themed options to play and atleast two unique runs! :D

It's in the name, Odyssey adds a TON of new map biomes and overhauls a so much of the existing map generation. The best way to look and visit it all is to live as a nomad on a ship who keeps bouncing in between biomes. You can go visit the lava fields or an achipelago or scarlands or land beside a river to find it flooding in summer, the map generation feels so much more dynamic now compared to earlier and also thanks to all the new added animals and critters and FISH, ranching is also very fun, and you can train some animals with unique skillsets. Tamed a Thrumbo? It can now ROAR and instill fear into your enemies or you like living lowkey and instead tame a pig that can sniff and help you forage food to stockpile for winter or you just want something cute and get some little sparrows who chirp around your colony. And the best of it all? You can put ALL of these on your ship! Yes, a freakin Thrumbo or a Boomalope on your ship if you want. Make a mobile zoo and go collect 'em all or just go visit these cool places if you love exploration.

Odyssey also adds a lot of new mission-quest maps where you have to go into some ancient derelicts to get gravcores or some other far-worse areas (spoilers!). Gravcores are something that you'll need to upgrade your ship so the Gravship scenario will basically force you into these quests but they're pretty fun compared to the normal rimworld quests. It's like you're dungeon delving to get gear to upgrade your ship to go into an even more dangerous dungeon. I'll add to this that there are also ruined city/colony maps which don't have the same level of danger as the dungeons (can have some traps) but they're pretty awesome to explore. Same with abandoned/ruined satellites. Both are pretty awesome to explore and if you want, you can just settle at one of em and have a colony that's giving life to these old structures.

Also, a quick mention to the new soundtrack. Space soundtrack is genuinely awesome! It feels like it's based on old sovietwave atleast the peace ambience. It's cheery, uplifting and also something similar to what you can hear during the story missions of Starsector (if you haven't played Starsector, do play, awesome game too!). Love the soundtrack overall, makes me want to stay in space even though my thrumbo can never get out of the ship :D

Overall, i'd say that this DLC adds a ton of new content, most in comparison to the other DLC's and is the best thing overall added to Rimworld! Certainly a very good purchase, I have already got my money's worth from it and everything moving forward is just more fun. And the most beautiful part is that even though there's so much new features and depth added, after all at the end of the day, it's still Rimworld <3

10/10 Beautiful space opera

Super Fun and Refreshing Deckbuilder

This game is insanely fun. There's TONS of combos and spellchains you can make with basically any clan combinations. The amount of control you have over your units, spells, their items and the train rooms makes for some really fun and stupid decks. Best of all, you can upgrade your spells or items and then duplicate them. Had one super strong "fight solving" card? Dupe it on!

Difficulty and Boss Fights

The difficulty is reasonable. It starts off easy and ramps up fast as it nears the end, there are optional trials that you can partake in to get more gold (the greed....). They come with some sort of catch, empowering the enemies or debuffing you. The bosses are really well designed. After a few runs I got myself to look at the main bosses and their variants at the start, as well as note the upcoming boss on a level. Both the trials and the bosses can determine your playstyle on a specific level. I LOVE this implementation because it makes for dynamic game decisions which can make or break that fight and the game really rewards you for "making" through the fight if you manage to do so.

If you want a much more challenging experience, there's the Covenant levels and they are no joke. There's only 10 but the difficulty spike is very great between each of them! And they give you cool Mastery card unlocks!

Story and Setting

Story is slowly unravelled through dialogues in between your runs as you unlock more Pyre Hearts. There's other side-content too for all clans as you unlock more and more of them. Overall, I find the setting of the game really cool. The angels have been corrupted by the Titans and basically every angel you fight against will have some form of corruption from a Titan. It even shows in their demeanour and their attack patterns which I find to be really cool! Their descriptions are also nice to read. Coming back to hell, the clan members have some fun dialogue that you get to read through in between runs. Overall, it's lighthearted and hilarious with some dad jokes here and there. I won't go any further in my descriptions, best if you experience it yourself!

Other Gamemodes

Apart from the standard run, there's Daily Challenges, Dimensional Challenges (basically challenge runs with fixed mutators) and Endless mode. The Dimensional runs are a nice addition where you're limited by clan and basically have to solve your way out of the situation. Dailies are dailies and I haven't really had any experience with the Endless Mode so can't comment on that. Personally, I am not a fan of playing endless modes in rouge-likes because I feel like the run is complete when you reach the end, but people seem to be enjoying the endless mode in general.

Art and UI

Now I have seen some criticism for the Artstyle and UI of the game but I don't think so. The artstyle is pretty nice, I feel that it's quite detailed and to the point. As I had pointed out before, I REALLY LIKE the way they've designed the models for the angels (enemies) and you can really see the corruption affecting them. The artstyle of units, their animations and the card drawings are all cool too, especially the shrooms! Shrooms are the best funguys! The design of UI, like when interacting with an event might be a tad bit simplistic but it still looks good and fits the theme of the game. What I would like in the UI is actually a technical feature; stats breakdown of total damage dealt/tanked/buffs had by a unit after the run. This is a bit complicated and too much to ask for a game but the technical brain in me just craves it sometimes.

Soundtrack

Coming to the best part of this game. The soundtrack absolutely SLAPS! You get to hear punk metal blasting at full sound when you're beating the crap out of a boss. They really did a number with the music, it's freaking awesome and by far my favourite thing in this game. The soundtrack is available on steam, would definitely recommend it. In the description, they mentioned "Got the 'Fallen Angel Anthem' stuck in your head even when you're not playing?", damn they were right. It's the best track of all by far. The whole album is also available on Spotify if you want to hear to it before buying in case!

Rating

Overall, I give this game a solid 9.5/10 and music 10/10.
If you are a fan of rougelike deckbuilders, definitely give it a shot. It's definitely worth the full price, you won't be disappointed.

I don't have much to say about this game other than that it's absolutely awesome and you should play it first hand to experience it.

It probably won't hit everyone, but if you are a certain someone who's into some form of creative arts and are struggling at some point or phase in your life, this game will completely open up on you.

I can't really say anything more about this game, it's something best experienced yourself. It's short but well worth the price. Just for what it expresses. It's something that will keep you awake at night and make you feel.... nothing.......

One more thing i'd like to add:
After you finish the game, go back and play the chapters again but after turning narration off. It will give you a different perspective on those games, from Coda's point of view.....

First of all, I'd like to start with saying that some of the people on this review page are mentioning / complaining about the features of update 1.8 which should NOT be covered under this pack.

It is an Immersion Pack which contains some journal entries dealing with the Indian Subcontinent (the princely states and the EIC / British Raj). It is a really cool purchase, although a bit expensive if you want to play in India either as a puppet state or the chartered company. The journal events are pretty cool. The Indian flavour added to all the individual states as well as the buildings and characters is awesome if you know the Indian history of this time. The Hindi map tags are super cool as well as dynamic state names for Indian states under different rules.

I would overall recommend this flavour pack if you really do want to play in India or you know the Indian history of this era, otherwise this pack is going to be completely useless to you if you normally ignore India, since it does not have anything outside the subcontinent.

Again, ALL the gameplay mechanics and elements are available for FREE in the base game's 1.8 update. You do NOT need to buy this pack for mechanics, it's just a flavour pack for journal entries and some more India related stuff. Kinda like Dharma DLC from eu4 without the gameplay mechanics introduction.

It was a fun game to play with friends. Sadly it has been removed completely from the steam store because they wanted to release a new version of the game and as far as I am aware it's from another developer working on it?

I'm not that knowledgeable on the whole state of affairs surrounding this game. They shut down the servers for the game, it upset the community understandably. It was a method to get people to buy a new game completely if they simply wanted to continue playing but it's probably not the best approach I would say.

Now, I'm not too mad for shutting down the online servers, that happens a lot in games as they near the end of their lifecycle or the devs simply don't want to bear the cost of running the game. It launched in 2012 so it's had a fair enough lifespan. You can still play offline with bots which I don't mind once in a while. Although, the tags still say "Online PvP" and "Cross Platform Multiplayer" but it hardly matters if the game doesn't exist.

What I'm mad about is that they removed it from the steam store. They could've just kept it up, changed the tags to be just single player offline and lan pvp but instead they removed the game completely from the store. I can play it still because it's in my library but those who havent bought it will never be able to buy it and will be forced to buy their "newer" version of the game. It is mainly for this reason that I'm not recommending the game, not like you can buy it anyways. But just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ move for what was a pretty decent game on it's own.

Other small annoyances/shortcomings: You had to make your own Days Of Wonder account to play mutliplayer which was beyond annoying and it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the steam page! And most of the maps were paid dlcs so if you wanted a variety in your games you had to buy a dlc pretty much.

Early Access Review
It's a nice little charming logistic and resource management game where you get to see your cities grow as you make the new player inhabitable! It's pretty relaxing and something where you set up a chain and you get to see the fruits of your labour grow when the cities expand.

Found it on the Next Fest or the Game Demo event thingy (cant exactly remember) and bought it when it came out in EA. Have been playing it on and off since and I gotta say, it has been steadily improving and new exciting features have been added! (SHIPS!)

I'd recommend this game if you like the genre. It's also a great game to get into this genre if you haven't played other logistic/resource management game and don't want to drown in complexity.

This game is beautiful. It's a surreal experience. Experience of emotions..... confusion initially, maybe distrust or betrayal, followed up with a sweet or bitter reunion. You end up again in front of that damned cabin in the woods asking yourself how did I end up here again or in the first place itself? Ah ♥♥♥♥, here we go again.

But then the game opens up to you and it is truly something else.
There is no wrong choices in the game merely different experiences unfolding the events that occur in the lives of two individuals (are they merely just individuals or represent something else metaphorically?). Don't worry about what you end up doing, your journey is much more important than the destination, enjoy it! I wish I could forget everything and play this game again completely blind....

The voice acting is on the point, each character shows emotion and character, really well done considering it was completely done by two people. The art is also simply amazing! All hand-drawn animations and the princess looks damn cute or straight up a demon from hell, love it! The art is done completely with pencil and paper i think and that's incredible. I always loved pencil shading and seeing someone make a damn awesome looking game with just it makes me happy.

10/10 Worth buying even if not on sale.
Also, trust me when I say, I can fix her :D

It's one of the best RPGs i've ever played.

The gameplay is awesome, the music is phenomenal, the amount of story and world building in this game is just perfection. The game literally gives you all the freedom you can get while interacting with the other characters and areas in the game. It's full of secrets and easter eggs and the whole world dynamically reacts to your actions whether you noticed it or not. It's inspired by EarthBound and it really shows as well. Sometimes, at some place you would get a totally new scene if you stood still for 20 seconds. The game doesn't outright tell you about any of these but it indirectly, very subtly implies that such a thing can happen. I love when a game has interesting puzzles or places where you get rewarded for closely following and "connecting the dots" to a larger picture.

The story in this game is absolutely phenomenal. Do not spoil yourself of the story by looking it up somewhere and don't worry about making a mistake or bad choices. Just go with the flow and enjoy the adventure. The story really builds up super nicely, especially through the latter part of the game and on the good ending routes! (I haven't yet tried other route, there's a lot of ways to play the game in!) But yes, the story is very captivating and sweet, with some melancholy but very enjoyable! Loved it throughout the run.

The retro themed music is also top notch! There were a lot of places where i'd intentionally backtrack or stay at a location because I simply loved the ambience of that area. Too bad, the same cannot be done with the boss fights. Pretty much every boss fight had an incredible track to support it with! I wish i could've replayed them as well but hey the OST is on Spotify!

If you love RPG's which have stories, memorable characters and a beautifully crafted world, absolutely buy and play this game! 10/10 would recommend even at 10 bucks. It's a really really good price for the quality of content the game has to offer.

It's a great map expansion. Most of France is generally well done. The highways might feel monotonous after some time but the real beauty of this DLC is in the country sides and villages.

There are some pretty lovely sights you can see throughout the country. You can also see that stark difference when going from the North towards the South, or going to the plain lands near Germany. What I wish was done a bit better are the Alps regions near the Switzerland-Italy border. That land seems a bit too low for the irl topography but other than that, a well-made DLC.

Also, Corsica is absolutely awesome. It was super fun driving around on the Corsica country roads and weaving among the hills. Imo, awesome mountainous content other than Scandinavia or the Alps. Wish they did the same amount of detail for Sardinia as well!

Great DLC, recommended on sale. 8/10
