Asymmetrical multiplayer games are fairly rare, and Siege manages to pull asymmetry off in a fairly well balanced way where both sides feel rewarding to play. Each playable operator has their own thing going for them, although many perform similar functions. The game is heavily focused on tactics and teamplay and it almost goes without saying that the game is best enjoyed when playing with friends.

It takes a while to learn the maps, which can be a bit brutal for a beginner. But as you learn you will start to appreciate the nuances and intricate strategies each map allows you to employ. Each map is a sandbox!

I have played some Counter strike in the past and Siege appeals to me more out of the two. Both are great competitive shooters, of course, but Siege has more variance with the different operators and map complexity and all that. There are so many fun interactions between gadgets and cool strategies that keeps the game feeling fresh once you discover a cool new tactic.
