I got the game for €4 during a Steam sale. I just finished the game and really liked it, great gameplay, combat, story, and graphics. I highly recommend it!

So, I just finished playing the demo for The Precinct, and I have to say, I liked a lot of what I saw. First off, the graphics are pretty solid. I ran the game at 1080p, medium settings, and 60fps, and it looked good—nothing groundbreaking, but definitely clean and fitting for the game’s vibe. One thing I really liked was the top-down view (or bird’s-eye view)—it gave me a good perspective on everything happening around me.

The gameplay itself is straightforward and fun. The controls felt responsive, and I didn’t have any issues playing with a controller. It worked perfectly. I actually played the whole demo using gamestream from my main PC to an Nvidia Shield. I’m running Arch Linux on my PC with an Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, and at first, I tried using Steam Link, but it wouldn’t work. After that, I went with Moonlight/Sunshine, which worked flawlessly.

Later, after finishing the demo, I decided to try starting the game with Proton, and this time, Steam Link gamestream worked just fine.

There were some really fun moments, like the car chases and the helicopter chase. Plus, I liked how destructible certain parts of the environment were; it added an extra layer of chaos to the game that I really enjoyed. That said, the physics could use some fine-tuning. Things didn’t always react as smoothly as I’d hoped.

Performance-wise, the game ran well enough, but it definitely needs some optimization. There were a few stutters here and there, and I feel like the game could be smoother, especially considering I wasn’t pushing it with ultra settings or anything.

As for the story, it’s decent for what it is. Nothing too deep or immersive, but that’s fine for this type of game. It moves things along, and that’s really all I needed from it. I wasn’t expecting an intense narrative experience, so I wasn’t disappointed.

One thing that I really didn’t like was the music. It felt kind of like it was AI-generated. It didn’t add much to the atmosphere, which is a shame because good music can really elevate a game. I understand that music can be difficult to add to a game, but using music that "fits the theme" just won’t work if it lacks depth.

The demo itself lasted around 30 minutes, and overall, I enjoyed it.

Great game, can only recommend.

We were high on acid with my friend, played this game for like 2 hours straight laughing so hard with tears in our eyes. One of the best gaming exprience in my life, would do again. Recommend this game to anybody! Its cheap and it has multiplayer up to 4 players.

Vaikka pelitunteja on nykyään vähemmän kun CS:GO niin väittäisin silti parhaimmaksi Counter-Strike sarjan peliksi, pelimoottori ja grafiikat jo kymmenen vuoden takaa ovat täyttä kultaa. Muistan lukemattomat koulupäivät kun vihdoin ja viimein pääs koulusta veke ja juosten frendille pelaa CS. Good times! Laneja varten täydellinen peli.
