Outlast is a disturbing, mindscrewing game. It's about 4 hours long, if you can rush through certain sections, which is pretty straightforward since you can just rush past certain enemy types. Hiding is only ever so optional as the enemy AI is pretty tame and tends to ignore or look past you.

The game mechanics are somewhat lacking in this game since it revolves around your camcorder where you have to acquire batteries for which are scattered through the maze-like asylum. The asylum itself is pretty huge and where about 80% of the game takes place (other sections being the sewers and the underground labs).

There are also documents and notes to collect, but on a generic playthrough, they're hard to miss (unless you're an achievement hunter).

I enjoyed this, but it doesn't have a big replay value to me. Nonetheless, you should still have played it.

No wonder this game is so cheap, it's a broken mess, it has dozens of gamebreaking bugs and glitches. Clearly the devs released this in an unfinished state, and it stopped being supported after barely half a year. Not recommendable. The first AR-K was quite enjoyable, I don't get how they could screw up this one.

This game is really fantastic when you play with friends, I mean, you can play with randoms but prepared for foul language, ragequitting, anti-play, etc. Oh, and the report-button doesn't do much unless you massvote against the individual. The gameplay mechanics are really smooth, it's car-independant nevertheless. Competitive play is kinda broken at the moment, the matchmaking is too random, all ranks can be matched against each other (f.e. a Diamond 1 can meet a Silver 2), but don't that let discourage you, some people have more luck than others and gain ranks merely by waiting for their opponents to forfeit. But once you play with "steady" players, you learn their moves and whatnot. Overall, highly recommendable!

This is one of the best first-person shooters I ever played, very storydriven, graphics are great (for that era), the diversity between weapons and upgrades makes the game have high replay value, as well as customizing Mr. DeWitt with a plethora of vigors/equipment. You can find your own playing style by trying out different combos. I highly recommend this.

Game of the year for me so far, beautiful graphics, excellent gameplay, no stuttering, I can run it perfectly even with ONLY 4 Gb RAM and a GTX960 (except the loading screens take a few secs to complete), but that doesn't matter. The variety of secrets and achievements each map has makes this also a gem. The tons of weapons upgrades, Praetor Suit adjustments and Rune equipments makes this a high replayabla game, going for a different "character build" each time (although you can change it each map). A real must-have for first-person shooter fanatics.

I am so captivated by this game, it's a true emotional rollercoaster of sometimes hardened choices you have to make throughout the game, the best episodic game I ever played, extremely appraised and recommendable for those enjoying the genre!

Very nice game, highly recommended for people who like the Elder Scrolls franchise. Almost same skills, leveling system, world map with marked locations (fast-travel enabled), tons of quests, nice open world fantasy-feeling to it.

Very great PC-adapted version of this classic Revised 4th Edition board game. I'm glad the expansions are also among it. Online play works smooth. The XP-based Runestone unlock is a very nice feature. Great recommendation.

I'm glad they released a PC version for it. The gameplay is virtually the same as on console. You can play it with a USB-compatible controller, the multiplayer is very userfriendly, no lag nor interruptions of any kind. It features all characters (except Kratos who is PS exclusive), and also one arena has been left out which is also PS exclusive. Overall, one of the best fighting games in the last 3 years, the variety of combos makes you crave for more.
