My playthrough had a frightening amount of bugs, which did quite dissapoint me - it softlocked me a few times and softlocked me out of multiple quests. Especially without a save system that was either more convenient or had more than 3 slots (shared with autosaves) those stung,badly.

However Cabernet nevertheless ended up a lovely experience. I'm impressed that it seems to have improved and opened the game up a lot compared to the demo. I think I'd really like a proper follow-up to it, maybe with a bit more budget behind it.

Biting people, breaking up marriages to seduce the wife and turning corpses into talking dolls has never seemed more fun!

Lovely experience, I'll probably replay it a few months down the line when the game is patched up.

EDIT: I wanted to include this paragraph at the end of the review, as I didn't originally get the "happy" or "good" ending quote unquote. I've since replayed to get it. I believe as I've read through the credits and even watched some talks that Arseniy gave on making games that he's the main person spearheading the writing.

The epilogue of the game,to me, as someone from Russia spoke to me, on such a deep, painful, sad level and brought me to tears, which happens, so, oh so rarely with anything in my life.

The message of hope, hope persisting among the endless horridness, the depression, the misery the unfairness of lfie is something so core to me as a person, almost every word said in the epilogue made me feel like I'm talking to a reflection of myself.

Arseniy said that he wanted to make games that makes the player experience the feelings,the emotions that the developer wanted and that they themselves felt. You've succeeded.
