Developers are absolutely clueless on this game now. Completely sold out.

They enforced region lock but literally the only people affected by it our legit players who arent using VPN's to game the system. It's literally full of Chinese RMT'ers at all hours of the day cheating and teaming and the devs never do anything.

Real shame, game had a ton of potential, but it was a lot of fun for awhile there until the devs ruined every aspect that made the game fun and appealing.

Really good fantasy game

It's a really good game. I've played the first and third iteration of the series and this is by far my favorite. Well done to the developers.

Greatest Fantasy RPG of all time.

I wish I could put this as a Yes/No/Maybe review. I'm going to leave it positive, as I don't believe the game is bad or that the devs deserve a bad review, but I would not recommend this game to most people *in its current state*.

The game has a great novelty to it that makes it unique and interesting to play, however, the development cycle has been... I would say, lacking. But hey, what they've added so far is good, even if after all this time there still really isn't very much (seemingly) being added. I wont pretend that I know the process for developing games outside the fact that it is a very slow and arduous process, and I also know the devs personally respond here and on Reddit, they have a road-map too, which is amazing, but holy cow guys, this game is just... Missing so much after so much time, and that makes it hard to recommend or even invest time into playing, especially with it being a 2d title (yes I know the engine ya'll are using is garbage and not designed for this style of game and that's caused issues... but still).

I want to support these guys though, I said I would change my review from negative to positive once they added an actual char creator and fleshed out skill tree, but I never left that review, so here it is, basically 3 years later. I tried to hold off, I really did, but it's been 3 years since my first play-through and yes, the game has changed, things have been added, tweaked and adjusted, but it just FEELS too much the same, even if what was added was in fact needed for the long term success of the game. I'm not going to leave a positive review just because that means we might see continue development, that is not okay with me.

I'm willing to continue believing that these devs will someday magically deliver on something close to their intended vision. But the questions still remains. Is that likely to actually happen? No, I don't think it is. Vibes have never been good on their team, morale seems to constantly be "at all time lows" from what I've heard and read.

If you are okay paying for an unfinished game that will take a many years (if the devs even stay committed at this point, things seem to always be on the rocks *i'm sorry but its true*) to maybe some day get something close to the original vision, then sure, buy up, otherwise I would definitely hold off and wait, because so far, I have not been impressed with what I purchased after the first 10 - 20 hours.

It's difficult, the potential is there, but the dev's and player-base appear to share a common sentiment, and that is, once the novelty of the product wears off, you're kind of stuck with something you no longer have interest in.

I also love to be proven wrong.

The amount of cozy you can get for a Souls Game, it's unreal.
