If Pathologic 2 was just a survival game it'll be the best damn survival game I've ever played thus far in my life. But luckily it also has a really compelling story to play through to boot. Both the narrative and the survival mechanics feel so well woven together it makes you wonder why other games don't do the same. I definitely did NOT experience the game as intended (blind, no save scumming) but the intended difficulty is what it definitely is -- intended. The struggle of the survival is so compelling, it got me hooked, as all the meters work in tandem with one another to really make you feel it. I played through the game twice, first on the intended difficulty and then another completionist one on an easier difficulty. I definitely recommend intended, even though it is harder, as to me, the difficulty really is a core part of the whole experience. If the game is more optimized, that would be the dream. As it stands, its already a really good game. Go play it.
