Still just as good as when the series was originally released. Nostalgia is real every time I boot this up. <3

This is a fantastic remaster of the original trilogy. The graphics look fantastic, and the music is true to its original feel with a fresher sound. Just starting up this game gave me an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia, which in games as old as the original Spyro trilogy is exactly what a remastered version should evoke. This game is definitely worth buying, and I know I will come back to it later to replay it again every once in a while.

When I originally bought this game a few years ago, I did so with joy at finding such an intriguing remake of a game I used to spend a lot of time playing as a child. The music sounded fantastic and I couldn't wait to play a game that had already a good soundtrack with a better sound quality.

The gaming experience itself was wonderful. It gave me just the right amount of nostalgia with a sense of newness to the game that playing the NES version sometimes lacks. A few things have been changed from the original game. Some of them for the better, and some of them not. The difficulty on the bosses has definitely been raised, though not overwhelmingly so. Overall, the whole experience of playing this game is wonderful.

My problem with the game a few years ago was that the game would bug out and be completely unplayable upon reaching the final boss. At the time I used Windows 7, and was very frustrated that such a major bug ruined the whole experience for me.

Yesterday, a friend of mine brought up this game in passing and I began to wonder if it would be playable now that I have moved on to using Windows 10. Imagine my delight when I reached the final boss and could finally, FINALLY, play it!

The game has not had any bugs for me at all. The experience has been wonderful, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this game for any fan of platformers, as well as those that have perhaps once played the original Ducktales on NES.

This game, in its simplicity, is more challenging than one would think at first glance. The concept sounds simple enough - gather supplies, and stay alive.

It's all the unexpected challenges that make this game so fantastic.

You thought you'd make a living farming all that beefalo poop to fertilize your gardens? WELP they just killed you in their rampage when you got too close to them at the wrong time of the year. Thought you'd skirt the hounds to the big mean boss in the area full of lava and collect whatever they drop afterwards? Nice, the boss just killed you. Did you just get your camp all geared up for winter? Oops, there's the lightning and it just lit your whole camp in fire, destroying everything in its wake. Did one of your group members make a hunting camp near a well stocked area full of everything you could hope for to collect? Welp, they didn't think to mention the spiders roaming nearby.

All the while the group of friends you are playing with are laughing at your misfortune.

But despite all of the setbacks that send you scurrying back to the beginning before crushing you as the winter comes rolling around - or perhaps because of them - there's just something about this game that pulls you so deep within it that it is nearly impossible to stop, until you and the group of friends you're playing with are so tired you all have trouble keeping your eyes open and you realise it's 3am and you all should be asleep.
