I bought this game fairly early in development, when the current update was adding the Volter Manor map. Early on this game was in a pretty rough state with updates being months apart for small amounts of content being added. However, as of the last few updates, Tripwire Interactive has been on point with listening to the community and for the most part, fixing all of the issues that tainted this otherwise amazing game.

This game is a great example of a sequel taking the formula of the original game and improving on it to better the experience. Compared to the first game, the overal pacing of the game is much faster. Also instead of 7 perks that have scaling bonuses across 6 levels, we now have 10 perks with 2 choosable skills every 5 levels spread across 25 levels total. There are now two alternating bosses (50/50 chance) with a possible third one on the way.

Some Pros-

The new classes are fun to play as well as the returning ones(other than Firebug lol)

The official maps are very well optimised

Just like KF1, there is an active custom map community

The weapons and ZED time animations are gorgeous

Some Cons-

Cosmetics no longer come in packs and must be either found via random drop, opened from a case/crate(USB flash drive in game), or bought from the Steam Market

Official maps are generally much smaller than KF1 maps, though TWI has said they may be adding larger ones

The Trader Pod doesn't shut up between waves

Overall I think if you liked the first game and don't mind it being faster paced, this game is a sure buy.

I have put a few hundred hours into Arma 3 and it's the wackiest military game I've ever played.

Here are a list of entertaining things you can do in Arma 3 that I have also personally partaken in:

You can set up enemy faction sentry guns to kill you and your team mates-

You can tactically scoot on your butt to the combat zone-

You can gather your friends inside a bullet proof room and bounce bullets off the walls and watch to see who dies first-

You can have your friends get in a truck then proceed to airlift said truck with a helicopter and swing them around below you while seeing how long it takes before you accidentally swing them into your main rotor and crash in an explosive inferno-

You can hide in a building while your squade mate crashes heavily armed UAVs into said building trying to kill you-

You can hop into a vehicle just to have it explode immediately after and kill you-

You can get stranded in the water after your helicopter pilot accidentally sank the chopper in the ocean, then find a civilian driving a boat and kill said civilian to where the boat is just driving itself in circles just to have it smack you in the head so you're unconsious and drown-

Hands down Arma 3 is one of the most entertaining wacky military simulator sandbox video games I've ever played. 10/10
