Having played and beaten all 4 DSW games, this is easily the hardest. Good ♥♥♥♥.

It is a shame that some flight stick don't work, but the game itself is amazing. If you're a pad player, you won't have any issues. Mods resolving the 21:9 issue have already been released. If you liked the AC games on PS2 then this is what you're looking for.

Overall this was a good game. It's aged well but is still dated

Excellent puzzle solving, reminds me of Zelda
Decent amount of content for completionists
Good soundtrack overall

Cons
Occasionally has bugs that force restart (i5-6600k at 3.9, GTX 1070)
Fairly short in a casual run ~14 hours
Requires backtracking several times but has semi-fast travel options through cheap boat rides
No final boss theme, it's shared with other bosses.

Overal, I'd give it a solid 7.5/10, adjusting for it's age. It is very much a Zelda clone, but great all the same.

Thanks for spitting on everything that made "Soul Calibur" Soul Calibur, Namco. I've been a hardcore fan since SCII was brand new and played every game since. I loved, or at least had some cheap fun with all of them, but this game feels more like the broken mess that was SC5 than it did to the incomparable classic of SC2, which you seemed to advertise it as. Arcade mode is an aftethough, graphics are a big letdown, music is lackluster, and you introudce meter, the only mechanic that SC seemed to restrain from? To hell with you, Namco. I hope this game fails to sell worth a damn and you never tarnish the name of this once beautiful series ever again.

More difficult than the original by far. Still worth 2 bucks.

Worth 2 bucks even as just a basic shmup, but throw in some hentai and I'm sold. Was able to complete all levels plus dlc in about 3 hours, though I'll go back from time to time.
