Early Access Review
I love this game and I could only bring myself to post a review after the emoji banner was finally put down like a rabid mutt.

Jank and poorly made schlock. Pretty shallow, behind all of the "Look! It's MY HERO ACADEMIA!" half-assed trash. Probably one of the worst and least accessible UIs I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Not to mention, its godawful UI is complimented by how difficult it is to even participate in the mobile game gacha nonsense. You get to play any character you want 3 times a day, then you're stuck with whatever few characters you have unlocked. All-Might is locked behind a battlepass, and the gacha banner is relegated to only three characters at a time. You are able to get a ticket that you can redeem for any* character, but that just means whatever of the three characters you'd usually have to gamble for at the given moment. I wholeheartedly believe this cobbled-together waste of storage space would find a better home on a mobile app store, rather than here. I don't care about the balancing issues, it's bad enough as is that combat feels not the least bit satisfying, and the numbers are so inflated that it's hard to tell how close anyone really is to death. If you want to play a better (and free) battle royale, you have several other options. If you want a better My Hero Game, try One's Justice 2.

Game is pretty good, overall. It has some problems built into it, like how the path to the goal must be fully walk-able, denying any proper jumping puzzles or grappling hook puzzles, rendering a lot of cool possibilities with the movement null and void. A lot of the traps can just be spammed, like the Plasma Sentinel. As of launch, I feel like 1 out of every 10 loading screens leads to a crash, it isn't too common but it's still irritating. Many of the brutal levels aren't even worth doing, despite the higher rewards, because they'll usually equate to just being trap/guard spam, killboxes, death rooms, or whatever else you can imagine just being an unfun shotgun blast of traps (sometimes without an actual structure to contain it all). Dangerous levels are pretty fun, thankfully, because they're often a good mix between difficult and creative.

All in all, I think the game is well worth it if you want a brutalist Mario Maker. I'm curious to see where future updates will take things, because things feel a little bare bones currently, while still maintaining plenty of replayability thanks to player contribution.

The best FPS I've ever played. It is an absolute gem. Despite this glowing review, I don't recommend anyone buys the game unless you're in it for the campaign, or you're willing to download third-party software to play on community servers. This game is cursed with EA paying it absolutely no mind, instead diverting all resources to Apex. If I had to guess, the extent of Respawn's accountability comes in the form of "EA wants us on Apex, not TF2". If a Titanfall 3 were to ever come out, I'd buy that ♥♥♥♥ in a heartbeat. TF2 is the pinnacle of FPS gaming but it either needs developer attention or a sequel. Considering the cult following this one has, TF3 would most likely gross far more than TF2 (which launched between Battlefield 1 and COD: Infinite Warfare). However, one may dream...
