It's a shame I have to give this game a negative, I really was intrigued by the game. In its defence, the visuals are gorgeous and voice acting is great. The story is also interesting in the beginning, but then it gets way too drawn out and confusing. I also feel a bit misled, the game is effectively a visual novel / walking simulator.

The negatives are:
The map is terrible. Even by the end of the game I could never remember what was where, and had to consult the map all the time. It also feels way too large and empty at times.
The story started great and really drew me in, but it's way too drawn out. This is exacerbated by the fact that each line of dialogue has to be 'clicked away'. I can't understand why long narrative sections couldn't be replaced with a cutscene, except perhaps because that would've removed most of the interaction with the game. Also, throughout most of the game I felt like the story was an allegory to something, but I couldn't figure out what to. I'm not sure if I can't think abstractly enough or if there's no other meaning behind it.
A couple great mechanics are introduced, but they are very underused, and the puzzles you need to solve with them are very easy to figure out. There could've been a lot more of those added, perhaps even as a usage of shortcuts in the main hub.

I'm afraid I'll have to give this a thumbs down. I will say, that I really liked the story, I really got hooked by the plot, and liked probably all of the characters. The game also has a nice message about emotions.

The reason for the thumbs down is that this isn't the game I expected at all. The first tag for the game is Choices Matter. I didn't feel like my choices mattered. Not for the plot, anyway. The ending is almost completely independent from the rest of the plot. There had been a few difficult choices, but they all affect Alex's relationship with people. Relationships that I honestly didn't care much about, apart from a few. Even less so when I started suspecting that Alex could just up and leave this place at the end. Your choices change how you role-play Alex, but in the end it'll all come to the same conclusion.

This game feels rather like a graphic novel, and not like the next game in the Life is Strange franchise. As such, it definitely wouldn't have received a downvote.

Sadly not as amazing as the board game yet, but it's still in early access and I have high hopes.

One of the few multiplayer games that I love

While I would love the game to bring some kind of supernatural power akin to as in the first season, the first episode still punches hard. Many choices are difficult to make, and the story is off to a very strong start. Can't wait for the rest!

I bought this game without reading after it, expecting it to be playable since last week's release. Now, 10 days later the game will not even launch on my PC (i7 4790K, GTX 970, 12GB RAM, win 10). I had to grind launching just to get 5 mins of 'playtime' to post this.

After some research I found that the game and GeForce don't really like each other. But while GeForce had issued several patches since the game launched, the devs had kept silent and their first announcement was new content, not addressing wide-spread crashes and bugs.

With this attitude, especially after the release issues of Arkham Knight(mare), I have to put WB on the same shelf as Ubisoft, where I refuse to but any of their games at full price, let alone preorder. A shame, I was really expecting more...
