Just a fun experience from top to bottom. Dropping into zones, scouting out objectives, and setting up defenses for your extraction is a fun cycle of play. The whole thing is made even better if you roll deep with some friends but on the whole the game is structured in such a fun cooperative way that really doesn't amp up anxiety or hate like that of competitive shooters.

To top it all off it's flavored with this Starship Troopers style tongue-in-cheek story that really pays off while making you wonder where they're going to take it next.

It lives up to the hype and is nothing short but a glimpse of the future of VR video gaming.

This game is simply put: beautiful.

From the orchestral soundtrack punctuating every environment and story beat to the gorgeous display of 'hi-bit' pixel art craftsmanship Owlboy is a feast for the senses.

It tells a simple story of an owl boy in his village but manages to infuse that story with surprisingly potent emotional arcs with characters who's motivations can change from fun NPC character in a platformer to a cuttingly real motivation of loss and despair, or shame, or unforgiving anger.

The game feels tailormade to me in the sense of its artistry and fun platforming mechanics. It's the kind of game I would love to be a part of in the making. If you're anything like me, or even if you just enjoy solid platformers, then you should definitely pick this game up.

Excellent game. Having just finished it I am completely satisfied with it. Steam tells me I have about 31hrs in here and that's about what you're looking at. 31hrs of riveting story? Nah. More like 31hrs of orc head mutilation. And I'm fine with that.

I'm a pretty tepid completionist but in this one I did want to collect every artifact and ithiril engraving I could find. The world is why you buy this game and I loved slashing my path the whole time.

If you don't have this, you should.
