Not worth the $25 I spent on it, maybe when it's sub-$20 some day.

Turn-based, hex-tile combat system that fuses a bit of Panzer Corps but plays more like MOWAS/Ostfront style combat. Unfortunately it falls short of both.
It has a functional AI skirmish mode and "Battlegroup" a dynamic campaign (like Ostfront Conquest), but you can't choose your units and get a random army. So repeatable gameplay is limited to skirmish, with the only other options being replaying the campaign, or suffering through Battlegroup.
The game seems to be designed and focused on tank combat, but the combat is very unfulfilling. Tanks are not fun to use as they are clunky, very "soft" for hard targets, and penetration is far too random. The clunky separate turret traverse & movement, plus facing, drew me in and is unique, but as with the majority of this game is a pain to actually play. Tanks are easily swarmed by a 1-2 infantry and taken out, with grenades and AT weapons being so effective. This ties into the penetration system. Grenades thrown at tanks get to target soft spots regardless of positioning, and AT rockets having an exaggerated arc might be misleading me but they seem to pen very well even front-on Tiger 2 tanks. Otherwise, you can get the the randomness of Sherman's or AT guns front-on first-shot hit & knockouts of all of your expensive heavy tanks like Tiger 1, Panthers, Jagpanthers, and occasionally still Tiger 2s. Meanwhile your own tanks miss, miss, and miss the enemy tanks, and when they do hit it will either be to minimal damage or over-penning.
Tanks are more accurate the longer they have been stationary and the longer they have been aiming at a hex, which slows down the gameplay.
LOS system incentivizes staying in place, and while simple enough it's a pain to play through due to infantry and buildings being impossible to spot unless you're in the same building or they open fire on you. Similarly all the hedges/vegetation block detection unless beyond them in a similar manner. Additionally, infantry in buildings are quite hard to remove from them without first taking casualties by moving your infantry, since tanks might as well be shooting at bunkers the houses offer such protection.
All of this culminates in gameplay that is heavily infantry-focused in a tank game, with very unsatisfying tank gameplay, and the only right way to play it is very slowly grinding out turns make the most minor of movements across all of your troops, to still end up getting reliably ambushed by the enemy; all you've done is mitigate casualties.

Can be a little fun, and I like where the system was going, but implementation and tank gameplay make it pretty unbearable.
If you want fun tank gameplay go play something like Panzer Corps or MOWAS/Ostfront.

Game was fun for a bit on launch, but got boring fast. I never liked the micro-transaction and battle pass system and now they're requiring you link to a PSN account just to play it. Would not recommend.

Fun game, has issues when each new game comes out for multiplayer campaign but gets fixed fast.
