i like slashing into people's heads and seeing all the blood on my screen. the perfect game for anger issues.

i don't even die to monsters. i die to bees or by falling off ledges.

good game. i like the part where i can use a grapple hook, invade a cash out deposit, steal it, and win the game last minute.

tldr: immersive game play with great visuals, combat, and a story line to keep you gripped.
i played it through a friend's library but bought it to write this long review cause i love it that much. ples like and subscrib to my channel owo.

deep dive in order of thoughts as i played this game (no spoilers):
the first thing i noticed about this game was that i didn't need my spotify playing music in the back, the ambiance of the game was perfect. sound effects and music was great for the style of the game and kept me engaged to not jam out my favorite band. the second thing i simultaneously noticed was how BEAUTIFUL the graphics and art design was. there is SO MUCH attention to detail in the art they've added, it's insane. from murals on the wall to statues and random aesthetic junk to add more life, wow, i was impressed. i did play this on the highest graphics, so take this with a grain of salt if you have a lesser setup.

the voice acting was also cool, the characters had their own depth through their voices. was a nice touch of some characters to speak a bit of their native tongue.

the game play itself. WOW. i hate playing story games cause the combat or game is limiting but these were awesome. there are powers and weapons you can favor to get you through everything, mine was a shotgun/flamethrower/3 plasmids (powers) to get me through. THE LOOTING was also AMAZING. i LOVE looting and this game encourages the heck out of it, they respect my OCD of clearing every corner to find everything. this ties to how they let you explore good chunks of the map, which i also love. bioshock doesn't really limit you in that sense. i also loved hacking every single bot i came across, couldn't get enough of the puzzles! they were so fun. technically, there's also a skill system which felt fair whichever fork in the road you chose, the pacifist or the killer.

there are also quality of life features such as having a hint tab when you forget what you're supposed to be doing or don't know where you're supposed to go. they tell you to reload when you're low on ammo which was unexpected but super useful for a clutz like me. small things that make the game better overall.

misc. but i loved how the game was vintage yet somewhat dystopian. yeah, there's great technology, but they capitalized on a vintage style too with films being played every time you get a new power/plasmid or during certain parts of the story being told. the story was kinda mid for my taste but got interesting, it was really the game play and combat that kept me fully engaged while the story was accelerating to also grip me in. love the parallelism during certain moments where they'll point at how great a character is, then show reality in an opposite manner (no spoilers so i won't go into too much detail). story gets a pass cause they use show and tell, not just tell tell tell like some games that shove the narrative down your throat.

the only ♥♥♥ i could say is the subtitles not being on by default, and how difficult it is to hear characters talking when fighting is happening. subs also get misaligned at times but you'll still get the gist of things. i'm low key deaf so i like to read as i play. there are a few minor bugs (nothing compared to all the good) where some objects might obstruct you like the flying bots or the annoying little kids but it's not a big deal at all.

overall, BOMB ASS GAME. GET IT. PLAY IT. ENJOY IT. IT'S GREAT AND WORTH YOUR MONEY. time to replay and get those steam achievements UwU.

great and addictive game. open world is my preference than saga though. combat system is decent, the pace of the game is great. you could be as OP as you want before fighting the bosses with little limitations. this is the kind of game you play with friends for hours, you can talk and chill while getting stuff done in game.

survival gets repetitive after a world run or two so it's best to stick to one world. great game overall and very much worth the money if you like to grind games like this.

great for productivity, ADHD soothed. wish you could connect spotify or apple music to listen to your own music in app instead of the repetitive songs. the background noises of fire cackling, wind, rain, etc. are cool. cute app to get stuff done :3
