Can be fun but also can be EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING due to crappy UI and tons of bugs with physics. Was not able to finish last ship due to missing some item that was literary nowhere.

For solo play, I cannot recommend this. I has some good things going for it but its clearly optimised for co-op and not solo play. In fact solo player is punished with some mechanics way too hard:

Example - If you manage to kill a boar but then die to something else before looting it, its corpse will despawn as you are forced to respawn. In co-op this obviously is not an issue.

Playing on normal was just crazy unless you know exactly how the game works. The amount of food and water you have to consume to keep yourself from starving could feed a small village.... and between chgacing yopur bars and fending off the shark you can barely find time to get resources.

On Easy this was much more comfortable but then the shark is a joke as he will barely do any damage and can be almost completely ignored when swiming for loot.

The game is fun so far, but dear merciful God, the interface was designed to reach and breach the limits of word "frustrating".

The game heavily relies on physics and requires you to PRECISELY put items on top of other items...
And some joker not only decided to make a separate "drop item" indicator but to also make it a barely visible shadow (and there is also a standard "pick up" indicator which is large, blue and very visible all the time)
Oh and there is also environmental light cycle to help you reach the levels of madness that are unheard of..... either the dev has been possessed by Satan himself or is gunning for his job....

This game disrespect you and your time.

- Do you like being killed in less than a second, repeatedly, sometimes even off screen?
- Do you enjoy wasting 20 minutes clearing and getting 5% xp, to then lose twice that amount on death to a random rare?
- Do you like getting zero feedback or log entry as to what killed you?
- Do you like not having a sensible respec system to try and fix your build?
- Do you enjoy having to use private websites in order to trade with other people because devs cannot make a simply auction functionality?
- Do you hate to play melee because they are worse in every aspect to ranged builds?
- Do you like playing a cookie cutter builds, because the game balance is so broken that nothing else is playable in end game?

If yes then this is the game for you!! Enjoy your stay. I wont.

I have never had such a bad time in my life. Every day is just a frustration and self hate. How the hell do you design a "game" like this???

Oh yeah 10 years ago I gave this game also a chance but left due to terrible netcode and constant lag spikes. Guess what nothing changed since then....

I only wish I never spent a dime on it but sadly GGG has conned me out of some money.

A surprising good take on zombie survival, open world game.

**Good
- Nice, Large Maps that are fun to explore, and scavenge,
- Both ranged and melee combat feels good,
- Mostly very good performance (some weird texture flicker happens sometimes)
- Game has a soft stamina system so you have a reason to cycle characters,
- Driving feels good and has a nice selection of cars,

**Bad
- Story isn't exactly great,
- All non story missions have hidden timers - its often impossible to get all done, before other expire,
- Non story missions can get very spammy every time you load the game, they can get really annoying if you just want to go and do something on your own,
- Can only have bases in fixed locations and bases have fixed buildings and slots available. You can decide what to build in slots but you cannot expand or fortify bases more,
- Outpost feel stupid - you claim them and they magically produce resources, you don't even have to assign any workforce
- The fact that you have unlocked doors around your base which zeds can just open is a tad silly...

Ok game with interesting premise, but failing to deliver: 6/10.
Expected a Detective game with Yakuza elements, but this is a Yakuza game with Detective elements hidden as boring or annoying mini games.

The Good:
- Interesting story but that would be very good if not for some crappy bits poisoning the well,
- Good, well written characters,
- Nice Graphics
- No Crashes, stable FPS (on 2080Ti)
- I dig the Friends system, but It really begs to have some management game tied to it,

The Bad
- Worst combat of any Yakuza games, bar Yakuza 3 maybe,
- Only one useful combat style (Crane Style should be renamed to Blunder Style),
- Mortal Wounds is one of worst systems ever invented - it punishes weaker players by making them even weaker, and is completely meaningless for better players,
- Skill books locked behind awful mini games,
- Costs of some skill unlocks is stupidly high,
- the famous "Ryu Ga Gotoku Game Balance", some enemies do absolutely ridiculous amounts of damage, and can take 80% of your level 3 health with one combo (normal mode), while other enemies barely do any damage at all,
- Wall jumping is interesting, but for whatever reason being able to run is very unreliable in this game,
- Tailing get boring after first one and there are A LOT of them...
- Chasing missions are now pure QTE, just get rid of them nobody ever liked them,
- No Karaoke,
- No Cabarets,
- Dice Game is without doubt worst "major" mini game of any Yakuza game (yeah I even enjoyed Taxi mission more than this crap), and wish I could refund the 12k SP I wasted on it....,
- Devs have no idea how they want to balance healing, they allow you to eat infinite amounts of Ramen from pause menu, but they heal for stupidly small amount so you have to eat like 20 to regain health... I am surprised Yagami did not burst yet,
- Equipment system was completely removed,
- Extracts could be interesting but as they are now they require grind to prepare and run out way to fast,
- Not only is the whole game only in Kamarucho but its not even expanded upon, in fact its probably the most shrunk version of any Yakuza game.
- zero cameos from any notable characters, why even bother making this in Kamarucho??!
- Drone racing is so uninteresting I almost forgot to mention it,
- thumb turn bypass is terrible and does not even have any skill to improve it,
- the game has a special menu for case files and evidence but you never really have to figure out things anyway answers are always given on a plate in cutsecenes anyway,

If you like Subnautica then its new zones, new plants, new createres, new monsters, new bases.
Pretty good overall but don't expect any major mechanical or graphical changes.

WITH EXCEPTION OF WRITING.
Unfortunately, writing quality took a deep dive....

The new writing is cringey and keeps killing immersion. The characters feel like cartoon characters not actual people.
The player character keeps commenting on everything and feels like shes writing her Tiktok timeline, not being in actual life or death, survival situation.

You know these games that stay in early access forever? Well maker of this one decided to pull a joke and they pretend they left it... don't get fooled this game is still early access beta, and you can feel it. The generic quests, the awful inventory, blob combat.

It definitely has potential and its mighty fun to send in you boys to whack some bandits but it needs way more polish to be done. There is also one of the worst ever tutorials i seen that explains nothing, nothing at all, and then removes all the items you gained form it oO.. like wtf. I have spent about half of my game just trying to google some poorly explained game mechanics, bugged quests, quest with poor descriptions, etc.

"Get xxx Mod to fix it" No! I have paid for the game not for shell of one to be fixed by 3rd party. Itsyour product, you are responsible for it. Stop trying to become another Bethesda.

Its a Larian game so its not really a game you play for an Epic story or proper Fantasy combat. It feels more like a puzzle combat game with some story attached to it. While the story has an interesting shape, I just cannot treat it seriously. The good guys are all good, the bad guys are so evil for sake of being evil they quickly cross border into a parody land.

The combat balance is awful, especially at the beginning. Almost every fight is an ambush fight where enemies will conveniently place themselves in strategically superior position which forces you to cheese mechanics to counter encounter cheese.

I don't quite remember any game I played recently where I feel so much like the AI was cheating and playing by other rules than you are. They almost always get turns before you, they will often get two turns between yours. Bosses always start first with some cheap crowd control AOE move forcing you to either look up guides on strategy or run in and quick load to actually position your team for an encounter that feels fair.

If a game requires you to watch hours of tutorials in order to understand absolute basics in order to play then you failed at a game design. Period.

I love Factorio, I love Satisfactory, I should love this game. I know it gets better. I know you can do amazing stuff later, space is the limit, but the begging of a game needs to be fun as well, not just the end of it. And it is not...

I have spend 2 hours on a new planet and its nothing but MINING, MINING, MINING and more Mining to build.... 4 cubes... because steel plates takes enormous amounts of rocks just to make a few.
The wind turbine does not work.. nothing in the game explains how it is meant to work. I placed it on the ground is that ok? Its not spinning, so I guess not, but the game does not tell you its not. I place it on an armor block, nope still not spinning. I place it on a battery block now it is spinning, guess they always have to be placed on battery blocks? Battery block needs batteries to work though, and to build them I need a proper assembler powered by wind turbine that does not work.... this makes no sense whatsoever so the only obvious conclusion is I am doing it wrong but the game wont give me any feedback.

Oh yeah I also played a "tutorial" scenario, only thing it teaches is to run form one gps marker to another and press "F" for about an hour, and then vehicle combat... by putting you in a vehicle and letting you die constantly against bunch of enemy drones, without any explanation on how turret tracking work...
