a great 2D platformer.

the game is confusing at first, as you won't understand how the mechanics work at first, but after 1 playthrough, you'll have a good understanding of the game.

the game can be as easy or as difficult as you like. you can power up your character to the point of literally being invincible, or you can go in with 1 health and no power ups. if you suck, you get stronger. it's pretty hard to actually lose at the game, and there are plenty of generous upgrades and powerups that make 100%ing the game pretty trivial.

I've completed the game about 12 times now. you get to a point where you're just seeing how quickly you can complete the game. there's plenty of exploration to do for a longer run, but once you've upgraded everything, exploring stops being important, and you can beat the game in about half an hour. there are multiple endings and plenty of things to get on multiple playthroughs.

try not to look at the discussions or guides until at least your 4th playthrough. explore and try to figure things out. the game ends up feeling really good.

never played the original spyro. 1 and 2 are pretty good, 3 is a pretty frustrating romp. the whole game is pretty buggy. you need to play around with the frame rate in order to progress in a lot of places. the game is kinda absurd in how poorly it actually functions.

overall a decent set of games with a lot of fully voiced language choices.

A fantastic adventure game! there isn't too much heavy italian reading, and there is a lot of spoken italian. great for picking up some italian software dev terminology too.

devs are italian and one of the few devs even voices the game in italian themselves. very fun game.

developer is italian, but a few parts aren't translated into italian, and are only in english.

pretty easy to understand, text doesn't move until you want it to.

this is one of the better rpg maker games. a really well put together game. no grinding in this game. there are a set number of enemy encounters, so you want to manage your resources well. there is a shop where gear sells for half it's price, so you can really screw yourself if you accidentally buy a duplicate armor/weapon. you can't grind and you won't get all the gear. you have to pick and choose what you want to go with.

most of the game is pretty much a graphic novel. the game didn't work with my controller, no steam input nor steam overlay, but joy2key worked fine.

a very short italian RPG maker game. steam overlay and input don't work and no controller support. I used joy2key.

class doesn't matter, there's no XP, you just use money to boost your stats. strength, health, dexterity, and speed.
you get items to heal your health fully that refill when you heal at a fountain, so health, strength, and defense are the stats that matter. defense only goes up with equipment, which you buy at the shop.

you can kill everyone, and most give you some key. as a thief, you start with a master key anyway, so pick thief.

only in italian. not very beginner friendly, a lot of text and it disappears quickly. some characters are very difficult to understand too.

it's an okay short game, really tests your italian comprehension.

epic mickey 2 is a really fun experience. it was really fun to play through.

but, this is a not recommend, so of course there are some problems. if you're a completionist, avoid this game. it's hell to 100%. not due to difficulty, the game is pretty easy, it's more about puzzles, exploration and creativity than challenge. The problems are that it's very easy to miss something forever, and the game autosaves all the time. even worse, you often have to rely on oswald's AI, which will often undermine your efforts, or just glitch out completely, locking you out of collectables.

unlike the first game, there is no new game plus, you have to do everything in right in a single playthrough to 100% this game. you need to really plan out your playthrough or use a 100% guide to get all the achievements. even then, you need to regularly make backups of your single save file in case the game bugs out or something random happens and you miss something for good. the game is SUPER buggy.

also, this version of the game is just single player, for no real reason. even couch co-op would have been fine. the console version had co-op.

don't let this paint your expectations for rebrushed though, as that game is being handled by different people. I'm very excited for it and hope they end up remaking this game, with co-op.

the italian isn't too complicated in this one, you have time to read everything. game developed by devs in italy, so the italian dialog is good.

the game is a bit frustrating with the control system. you constantly need to swap between two characters, each with their own primary method of movement and attacking. the girl can double jump and throw kunai, but kunai are limited. the guy can't jump at all but can melee attack and dash through obstacles. you need to alternate between the two to maximize maneuverability.

primarily, I'd say this game is a puzzle game. you have very little health, and because of the awkward control system, it's easy for you to get screwed over and get stuck taking hits. you will die a lot of dumb deaths in this, particularly against bosses. birds are the bane of your existence in this too.

when you get used to the swapping mechanic, it feels good to do some cool maneuvers, and you'll find ways to circumvent challenges later in the game. you earn upgrades and new abilities that can absolutely break the game, and it has a new game plus.

it's fun, but a bit rough around the edges, especially around the edges of the screen, where lots of buggy behavior can happen. I'd look forward to a second game that maybe streamlines the gameplay a bit more.

a fun puzzle game. really makes ya think.

studying italian, at an intermediate level, the italian in the game was pretty simple to understand. some odd occult words that are repeated a lot, and characters with simple motivations to understand, and a lot of little notes with tidbits of info.

as someone studying italian, this is a pretty good game for practicing italian. most dialog is pretty easy to understand. the game is pretty raunchy and such, but it still censors swear words, so I have no idea what they're supposed to be saying in those parts.

the humor is fun, and the setting is modern, so it's normal italian being spoken I think.

I still don't know what's up with lush village, as you can enter, but cannot move, and can only avoid resetting with a teleportation item. and if you're too strong, enemies that inflict sleep can softlock your game.

F3 will fix the screen size, F4 will go full screen, F5 will restart the game, handy for softlocks and such.
