I genuinely didn't think I'd spend as much time with this game as I have. Not huge on FromSoft's multiplayer but this is surprisingly good.

- Quality of life changes to base Elden Ring (no fall damage, no over-encumberance, etc.)
- A very addictive gameplay loop of kill basic enemies for XP > find weapons to empower your character > kill bosses > repeat until you fight the "final boss" of the expedition, which only take around 40 minutes or so to complete

And you're left with one of the best FromSoftware multiplayer experiences I've ever had. Server issues occur occasionally (around the time updates are added) but they tend to be sorted pretty quickly.

Only negative I can find is the relic management and distribution. 90% of the relics you get in this game are bad at best and unusable at worst. If you don't stay on top of relic management, you can easily spend hours curating your collection down to the usable and good relics.

I believe Elden Ring is a perfect 10/10 game. Nightreign is a very good game. Solid 8/10.

I'm amazed at how Sony managed to fumble such a good game.

EDIT: It warms my heart to be able to recommend this game again. Easily my favorite shooter.

3rd-person shooter + Diablo-esque loot system. Tons to explore, tidbits of story here and there. Had a few login hiccups but for the first time in a long time, I'm hooked on a hack-and-slash.
