As a massive fan of Papers Please, I went into this expecting there to be no way Lucas Pope could follow it up with a game just as innovative and breathtaking. I was proven beautifully wrong.
Return of the Obra Dinn beat my expectations in every way possible. The voice work is fantastically well done, the sound design is great at letting you decipher what happens in each individual scene, and the storytelling is phenominal. No game has ever come close to making me feel as accomplished in solving something as this one has. Finishing this game is truly saddening knowing that there will likely never be a detective game ever as fleshed out and perfect as this one.

While GTA Online is an absolute hellhole (aside from Heists if you play with 3 friends, those can be quite fun together.), the GTA V singleplayer campaign is still one of the best singleplayer video game campaigns of all time with fun writing and many fun missions. I replay it every few years.

This is an absolutely amazing RTS that is an improved standalone version of the original Supreme Commander. This version is by all means better than the original game with new units, a new race/faction, and a new campain. This game is kept alive over almost a decade after it's release with an amazing playerbase and modding community at Forged Alliance Forever (http://faforever.com)

It's graphics are amazing for 2006, it doesn't need a great computer to run, it has hundreds and hundreds of mods adding units and maps, it has a great competitive and casual community, and it has the best gameplay mechanics of any RTS I've played.

This game was really something back in the late 2000's/early 2010's. I put probably over a thousand hours into it. Nowadays the game is practically dead, with very few players. Much of the playerbase that does remain is quite toxic. Get Brickadia instead, modern spiritual successor to Blockland with way more potential.
