Fun game for a tongue-in-cheek take on what it is like to spend time at your cottage in Finland. The game is super fun when played with friends!
The game is built on UE5 so it has all kinds of cool graphics features such as ray-tracing and DLSS support. The devs are updating the game often, ironing out bugs and adding new features. The map is currently a bit sparse and one of the neighbor cabins seems to be work in progress at the moment. But there is plenty of room for adding new stuff into the game so that is positive.
The multiplayer experience is also getting constant updates as the devs are improving and fixing sync issues between the host and clients.
All in all a really fun game to play with friends, and the game keeps getting better and better with frequent updates that are being pushed out. As you'd expect from an Early Access game, there are some small issues here and there but I haven't encountered anything game-breaking.

This Early Access is/was a scam. They promised all kinds of cool things to come in the future. I wanted to support the development of this title with my 50€ purchase. Instead of what was promised, all we got was a super buggy Early Access title and then they just fired the dev team and keep selling the Early Access game on Steam. How is that even allowed? Steam should take the game off of their platform and refund people who were tricked into buying the "game".

Performance gets worse and worse as you keep playing the adventure mode. This needs to be fixed. The game seems to be saving where you've driven, as you can see your tracks in the grass after you've been somewhere else for hours and then come back. Isn't this just completely needless?

IF YOU HAVE LOW FPS OR EXPERIENCE STUTTERING, DO THIS:

Go to your \Steam\SteamApps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS folder and open the file TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML using notepad. In there, change the following settings:
- FullScreen = false
- Borderless = true
- UseScreenResolution = true
- Make sure your resolution settings are correct
- VSync = false
- GSync = false
- MaxframeRate = 160 <- yes, 160.
Save the file and close Notepad.

Then open Nvidia Control Panel, go to Manage 3D settings, switch to the Program Settings tab and look for No Man's Sky on the list of programs. If you can't find it, click Add and browse to the No Man's Sky\Binaries folder where you'll find nms.exe. Change the following settings:
- Vsync = On
- Triple buffering = On
Then Apply.
If you have an AMD GPU, do the same in your AMD Control Center or whatever, if possible.

Now you have a game that doesn't stutter and has nice steady FPS. Mine went from 10-30 fps on low-mid settings to a solid 60fps on high settings. It's a huge difference!

Some tips for beginners:
- Keep restarting the game until you find a nice planet that doesn't have a toxic/radioactive atmosphere and has nice temperatures.
- Don't hurry. You have all the time in the world.
- Look for Drop Pods for suit upgrades so that you get more inventory slots
- Gather precious metals and sell them for some cash. Also scan as many plants and animals as possible, and go to the pause menu where you can upload them. This is a nice way to make some money.
- Learn new words. Look for the knowledge rocks to learn alien languages. This helps A LOT when trying to understand what they want you to do.
- Use money to buy more suit upgrades. Suit upgrades are the single most important thing in making playing NMS more enjoyable.
- If you find a new multitool, buy it. Multitool can only be upgraded slowly towards better models, you won't randomly find some amazingly good multitools if your current multitool is crap.
- Crashed ships have max. 1-2 slots more than your current ship has. Unless you want to buy a nice ship for 2-3 million, keep looking for crashed ships and if they have more slots than your current one does, switch to the new ship.

The first time I started playing NMS, I found myself in a desolate, hostile solar system and the experience was awful. I threw 6 hours of gameplay away and started over, and looked for a nice starting planet. Best decision ever. Now I've been enjoying the game a lot. So the starting planet really does matter. Also, suit upgrades. Remember the suit upgrades. They make everything better.

So, the game has some technical issues but the worst of them can be circumvented using the guide above. Actual gameplay is nice and quite relaxed, you spend most of your time exploring planets gathering stuff or looking for certain things. End-game might be very different, though. Nobody knows. I'm dreaming of building a powerful ship so that I can blow up NPC ships and steal their stuff.

It's a crappy copy of Clicker Heroes with different graphics. That really is all there is to this game. It also has lots of bugs and it keeps crashing every couple of hours. Very annoying if you leave it running when you're away. I strongly suggest you don't support this developer, as he's clearly just stolen Clicker Heroes and changed the graphics and introduced some bugs while doing so.

Stay away from this pile of crap.

Aivan mahtava open world sandbox -peli. Hiekkalaatikko, kirjaimellisesti. Ajele ympäri aavikkoa, tuhoa pahisten autoja, mätä pahikset muusiksi Batman-pelejä muistuttavalla taistelusysteemillä (parempi kuin Batmaneissa), tuhoa vihollisten linnoitukset, kerää romua, osta autoon uusia palikoita aiheuttaaksesi lisää tuhoa ja parantaaksesi auton kestävyyttä ja ajo-ominaisuuksia, päivitä Maxin romppeita, taitoja ja kykyjä selvitäksesi paremmin taistelussa lähes loputtomia pahislaumoja vastaan.

Tässä pelissä piisaa tekemistä noin 100 tunnin ajaksi, jos putsaa aavikot kaikesta vihollisten aktiviteetista ja romusta. Pääjuonen tehtävät on aika nopeasti tehty, tosin osaan tehtävistä pääsee vasta kun tietyt vaatimukset täyttyy, joten juonta ei voi juosta muutamassa tunnissa läpi.

Teknisesti peli on toteutettu todella hyvin, peli pyörii hyvillä asetuksilla todella mukavasti vähän vanhemmallakin raudalla, ja näyttää upealta. Lataustaukoja on vain silloin, kun pikamatkustaa kartalla paikasta toiseen. Ei voi muuta kuin suositella.
