Diarrhea and cancer are very different things. Diarrhea is usually caused by infections, food intolerances, stress, or other temporary issues and is often a short-term problem. It can be a symptom of something more serious if it’s persistent, but it’s rarely related to cancer directly.

Cancer, on the other hand, involves abnormal cell growth and is much more complex and serious. While some cancers, like colon cancer, may cause gastrointestinal symptoms, diarrhea alone is far more commonly linked to less severe causes. Persistent or unexplained diarrhea should still be checked out by a doctor to rule out any serious underlying issues, but it doesn’t automatically point to cancer.
