Verdun is a WW1 first person shooter. The game has proved that WW1 can be done in a multiplayer environment, also it has classes for each of the sides, such as the Tommies and the Landsers. The pros and cons will be listed below.

PROS:
The game is very detailed and is historically accurate. This can be seen in the guns with the detail put into them. The trenches revolve around the gameplay, which is wave based. The performance was an issue in previous versions, but the developers fixed it, which brought me back to the game. With the new 'Horrors of War' expansion, more content is added and the presentation is more deep with the new gore system. An added note is that the developers are very good at updating and respond very maturely to feedback, the game it advises you to go to forums if there are any issues with the game.

NEGATIVES:
This section is mostly based on my opinion and preferences, my first issue is that the controls are very 'twitchy', such as when you're crouching and break into a sprint, but when when you stop, you stop abruptly. This is caused since I'm used to Red Orchestra 2, since the movement mechanics in that game are very 'free flowing'. Another issue which is based on my preference, is that the game is too casual. Which decreases the immersion, there are thing such as hit markers, and the guns are too accurate. Much of the reviews praise for it's hardcore aspect, despite it being minute to RO2 or another example ArmA.

I rate this an 8/10
