Perfect soundtrack, amazing mechanics and game play and it scratches an itch like few games do.
Beyond that I would highly suggest playing this if you are a Warhammer fan.
Unlike many Warhammer games this is not a cheap cash grab but a work of art :)

My PC is so old that I wait a good 20 minutes between each campaign turn and I've still spent 160 odd hours in the campaign and will continue to do so until this baby breaks.

I havent got a Huge amount of game time under my belt but in my hour or two (felt like ages) of playing all i can say is this.

Gameplay is good, does justice (not spectacular) and is easy to get a feel for and get into which is nomally an issue with games like this. Camera panning, movement etc is fine and it works ok.

Basic story... like reaaaal basic as in the kind of story you've seen on most other RPG's its not a terrible story but it feels quite droll.

Now comes the fun part the voice acting and dialogue... this was something different.
Imagine going to a comedy show and the act starts: "ok looks good, bit of humour (not normal in most fantasy RPG's) something different. Now imagine 5 minutes in the humour makes you cringe and if it was a live performance all you want to do is tell the comedian to sit down or just leave. Thats the dialogue and voice acting... and the sad part is it gets on you and really detracts from the rest of the game wherein you feel like you're getting the hang of a pretty ok game, something nice to pass the time with and then you get bombarded with humour that is trying so hard to be funny but simply isn't and in all honesty if the game character and story was a bit more serious (including narration, don't even get me started great voice actor but the narration seemed offish) the game would and could have been a far more enjoyable experience.

With this said the game isn't absolutely unplayable and is quite pretty in a cartoony fashion but the story and voice acting really does it in.

Imagine Assassins creed, The Witcher and the Batman games had a hybrid baby add that kind if gameplay and those game mechanics, then put it into one of the most immersive stories ever written, The lord of the rings/the Hobbit (basically tolkiens middle earth) with enough lore and story to make a fanboy ♥♥♥♥♥ in his pants. Now imagine all of this in one game this is that game. 10/10 would bang.

8.5/10 Why? this is a very good game with a lot of good material if you enoy a song of ice and fire either read the books or watched the tv series (a game of thrones) then believe you me this is a game you may enjoy.

Negative: the reason it did not get a 10 is simply because of the sketchy voice acting which may appear amateurish at times and the game mechanics as a whole take some time getting used to and the dog skin and weapons dlc are very unimportant.

Positive: this game has a very immersive story which may start out a bit rough and dull yet evolves into a beatiful story plot with twists and turns as you go along. the game has a very nice and rather surprising choice and consequence theme that you may see in many of the tell tale games, it may not appear so in the beginning but as you progress it gets very intresting and you soon regret the descisions made in the past. the dlc beyond the wall is however a very short yet very intresting dlc which if played before the actual game could immerse yourself when you start playing the original story line.

There are a few things that have been left out of the positive and negative side because they are purely up to the individual, things like difficulty and graphics. these kinds of graphics are much easier to work with many would disagree and say that graphics are a very vital part in games nowadays firstly the game was made in 2010 and was not faced with things like next generation consoles and the like so one should not expect that. secondly you would not want to deviate from what this game really is, it is purely story based sure there is fighting but thats there so things like progression and honestly if you want amazing graphics go look for a game that focuses on it.

where the combat is concerned, it would take a rather long time for a person who isnt used the the kind of interface it uses, sort of like a mass effect pause screen and tactic control for characters, this will take some time easing into howeveronce you get the basics down (which is all thats needed) you should be able to play without pain.

The game gets very hard at times this i know so save alot. depending on how you normally play games wether you prefer the story of the game or rather the challenge of a game well there is the difficulty setting and its there for a reason if you want the game more for the story then play it on casual sure people may call you a scrub but who the hell cares, if you are however a person who likes to play games with more a challenge and death gives you vim rather than a broken keyboard then look no further play the game on hard and prepare your anus as it gets rather tough at some points.

This game is a gem very few people know of it and to be rather honest that is very sad, if you are a very big fan of a song of ice and fire albeit wether you read the books or watch the series (a game of thrones) this is defianately a game for you and i would hope to see more games like this in the near future.
