One of the best open world RPGs I've played. Great map and historical content. Combat and progression system work very well and it always felt satisfying to unlock new abilities and upgrades. Loved the Cult of Kosmos, the mythological content, the Conquest Battles, and the game is filled with great character interactions. This nicely done mix of everything really sucked me into the game and I got very attached to Alexios, Greece, and all of the malákas in the world.

My one major gripe with it is the modern day Animus stuff. It was cool in the earlier titles, but now it's annoying. I absolutely despise it. I feel like it could've been a perfect game if it was just focused on ancient Greece's history and mythology.

Only bought it to play in Paris. I'm satisfied with that part, but everything else? Meh.

Annoying movement. Mediocre combat. Awful bugs and glitches.

The map is unnecessarily cluttered. There's so much pointless crap that is shown on the map. Honestly it's insane how they thought it was okay to do that. You can filter some things out, but you cannot pick which specific things you want to filter out (i.e. you are not able to hide chests and keep the cockades on the map; you only have a choice to hide them all).

Still, in the end, most of the missions are fun to play. I can't really think of many positives for this game, but I still enjoyed most of it. The game is just pretty basic.

Honestly surprised that Ubisoft made such a mediocre game that is set in the city they're based in. You'd think they'd try a little harder.

I'd gladly say that this game is a perfect RPG set in Egypt. Loved the combat and the detailed open world. However, the one main thing that drags it down is the Assassin's Creed title. This just shouldn't have been an AC game.

I REALLY wish they ditched the whole Assassin's Creed thing for this game (and the next ones). It felt so forced and just degraded the game. The Animus added literally nothing valuable to the game. Main story sections with it were just dreadful and ruined the immersion. The game is supposed to be about the origins of the assassins, like the title implies, but it didn't feel like it at all. The story sometimes randomly reminded you that "hey, don't forget that this is an Assassin's Creed game!". Makes you wonder whether they were developing this game as a different title, and only slapped the Assassin's Creed franchise on to it later.

What they could've done instead of dragging the AC name to the ground is instead include more Egyptian mythology & history. The mythological bosses were great. And I'm glad that they made the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC, it greatly expands these themes.

My personal favorite part of the game was the open world. I LOVED exploring everything around in Egypt. The details are amazing and the world felt alive at all times. Honestly wasn't expecting this from Ubisoft, I thought that this would be just an another lazy reskin. But no, they actually put effort into it.

Oh, also, someone needs to make it illegal for Ubisoft to make investigation and follow missions. They got no shame in spamming these.

Can't say no to a classic like this.

The missions are lazily made and are very repetitive. It's just doing the same thing over and over again. The characters and story are bland. Nothing interesting about them. I didn't memorize anything related to the plot.

The map is pointlessly large. You spend half of your time playing this game just driving around. Plus you get contstantly interrupted by enemies while driving, and it's pretty much guaranteed they will break down your car, and you waste your time getting out of it, since you can't shoot from the car. Like, mate, I just want to get to the objective. It's not fun dealing with them every few minutes throughout most of the game. It's just annoying.

The only things I liked were the African setting and the neat fire mechanics.

Honestly, this is one of the worst open world games I've ever played.
