All the makings are there for a 9+/10 game but something went wrong, like it was rushed or something else. The world is dead - zero point to explore, the tasks are monotonous and samey, the dialog generic, the zombies while kinda fun to begin once you learn their mechanics are easy to deal with. I got into it but now can't be bothered to finish.
