If you complain about the graphics, your brain has been turned to mush by the AAA slop you have eaten for the last 10 years. This is your cure and all it takes to realize that is to simply play the game. Then you realize the amount of fun you can truly have is exponential when game-play comes first over graphics.

Battlefield is dead and dropped the torch it once carried proudly. Battlebit has grabbed that torch and lifted it higher then DICE or EA ever could.

Do not play this game or support Farm 51. I bet they even locked the comments on this review because they wish to hide it as best they can. They originally started making this game nearly 5 years ago, and the buy in price for this game was 60 USD. No where did they mention the idea of going free to play, in fact the game basically went silent for nearly 2 years after its initial green light. Then after 2 years of nothing, zero fixes, zero updates, and zero anything. They come out and piss down the mouths of all those who backed the game originally and say its going to be F2P.

What do you get for backing it with 60 USD? Nothing, not a peep about what they were going to do for the customers who once again, supported a game that was never supposed to be F2P. They also have zero moderation skills as their community page on steam is legit filled with pro Russian propaganda and anti-Ukraine propaganda which is wild considering the dev team is POLISH. If you are at Farm 51 and reading this, shame on you for allowing those dogs a free voice after a Russian politician said that "Polish people need to be exterminated like the stinky filthy rats they are"

Absolutely shameful and such a disgrace.

The best inbetween game to keep you entertained while you suffer from the problem of not knowing what to play despite having 300+ games. Yeah, thats right. I am talking to you, you fat slob. You have 400+ games and dont even have tower unite?! What the actual ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with you. Get this ♥♥♥♥. GET IT NOW

My previous review when this game came out was a solid negative. But after some time in the oven, this game has started to shine. Enjoyable game-play loop, new class system is fun to toy around with, new maps are decent, new penance system is rewarding, and combat is solid. Would recommend to play with friends.

Solid 7.5/10 with room for improvement.

If you just miss playing a game that is simply a good time. Welcome to the best thing in a good while. Casual fun that will have your face hurting from smiling to much. Amazing music, fluid controls, and a nice heavy helping of exploration fun.

TLDR: Buy game. Game good

So lets start out with the good. Ma'ma always told me to start with the positive. The game is down right beautiful to look at. The range of color that paints the sea is lovely. The base building has also seen a major upgrade from the first game and is really fun to fully make into a nice lil home for all your machines. The core feel of subnautica is all here, so if you enjoyed the first game this one is a nice little welcome.

Alright, good stuff aside, lets now talk about where this is lacking. First off, content from the first game was removed for reasons that I personally don't know. There is no more cyclops which to me is just a waste of something we already had. My second biggest complaint is that this game seriously lacks a lot of the horror that the first game gave me. I thought a bit on if doing the first game just made me more prepared for it but I don't think that's the case. Just as one example, many of the monsters that are a threat, but not leviathan level all make similar screams. Not only this, but you will hear them constantly as they are super loud and travel a long distance. It all kinda dulls the fear factor I remember from hearing the scream of the first leviathan behind the aurora.

This game is down right beautiful, but lacks a lot on the horror and isolation elements the first game was dope for. The story is a bit short and the map is a bit smaller, but the addition of more islands does allow for more forms of exploration.

TLDR: Overall, a good game worth a grab if you enjoyed the first, just be ready for a bit more of a comfy subnautica, and not the scary one you might remember.

Super simple yet fun game to just kill time to. Has a decent amount of difficulty to keep you engaged and the slow crawl to power is always fun.

Beyond the random weapons every run, this game butters my damn bean pole.
