It's Path of Exile but harder, much more challenging, and with less currency confusion. There's a lot of QoL compared to the first game, including things like actually being able to manage your inventory while interacting with a vendor, logging you in at checkpoints instead of in town, plus you can pause the game now! :D

I absolutely love this game! I was a little bit concerned when I saw the barrage of pre-game reviews and the hatred that was spewed about it, but I have played for 26 hours now (at the time of writing this review) and have not had any 'agenda' shoved in my face. Yes, you can choose that for your character if you really want, but just as easily you can avoid that by... you know... not choosing that for your character?

It almost sounds like... roleplay! :O *shocked pikachu face*

It's a little linear at first, but once you get past the intro the world opens up. The world feels a little like Dragon Age 2, but with more exploration and discovery and less repetitive cave layouts.

Dialogue is mostly good. So far the story seems quite engaging. There's an approval and disapproval system of course. It's not as in-depth as Origins, sadly, but I do appreciate having my old 'purple Hawke' options back. Just call me Purple Rook.

There is tonnes to explore, secrets to discover. Combat feels REALLY good. Plenty of combos, dodging, jumping, takedown attacks to keep you engaged while fighting. It's not just stand there and hit things til they die.

As a long time Dragon Age fan, I'm really enjoying it! I heartily recommend it.

If you want an easier-to-understand version of the Guild 2, this is it. I played The Guild 2: Renaissance pretty extensively and there was still much I didn't really understand in the game... this, though? I might finally actually ascend the political ladder because it's just so straight-forward. The UI is cleaner. There are several Quality of Life upgrades. So far, in my opinion, it feels just like the Guild 2 but more stream-lined and easier to actually see what the hell you want to actually do.

I'm not a massive Harry Potter fan, but I'm a huge fan of this game. I've been waiting for another open world exploration game to lose myself in and this does it wonderfully!

The game is beautiful, combat is fun, there are lots of areas to explore and things to do, no photo mode (yet?) but Nvidia Ansel works a treat. I've been playing for 22 hours as of this review and there are still loads of quests, and sooo much of the map I haven't even looked at yet. Easily an 80hr+ game if you enjoy exploring and not just plowing through the story.

This is a very polished early access title! This, in my opinion, is exactly what an early access title should be like: a mostly finished game that is seeking bug testing and extra suggestions from the playerbase to make the game even better.

As other reviewers have said, this game feels a lot like if Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley had a baby, and it's marvellous!

The Aussie environment is on point, the gameplay is mostly intuitive though there were a couple of things I had to browse the Discussions to seek clarification on. There's no pause in the game as of writing this review which is a bit annoying but I'm sure will be implemented. The camera takes a bit of getting used to but if you set the camera settings to "Mouse Always Moves Camera" and "Invert Y," the camera feels mucchhhhh better.

You are establishing a settlement on an old abandoned island. You gather all the resources, make all the money, craft all the things, grow trees, crops, go mining, fishing, terraform the land, fill the museum, meet all the people who want to settle on this island if only you'd build them a house. It's Aussie Animal Crossing and I love it.

I can't wait for the finished release!

So far the game seems pretty good for an early access title. I haven't experienced any bugs yet, at least!

You start the game greeted by kookaburras laughing and a didgeridoo playing and follow basic quests that get you set up, introducing your lodgings, the various vehicles that can be used, and how to get your weapons, etc. At the moment there appears to be only one NPC model which is a bit disappointing. The graphics, overall, are nice though, the ambiance is on point, and the Australian creatures are relentless. Sometimes a little -too- relentless. A kangaroo will come up on you, immediately followed by three dingoes, a spider, a scorpion, five camels, another mob of roos, then a snake, all in quick succession. But it IS a shooter, so I guess the relentless beasts are to be expected.

I'm enjoying the game so far! There's no story, just a good ol' open world experience. Looking forward to seeing how this game goes in the future. At the moment I recommend it.

Like many other reviewers I was a Kickstarter for this game. And you know what? I love it. Sure, we didn't get the vast amount of features that was "promised", but the game as it stands right now - from a single-player perspective, I have yet to try multiplayer - is enjoyable, playable, adorable, reasonably challenging, and i have yet to experience a single bug since the game was officially marked as released.

Reviewing the game for how it stands at this moment and not for what was promised in an ancient Kickstarter is what matters here. And the game that is available right now, out of early access, ready for people to buy and play, is a good game regardless of features that did not make the cut.

I have been waiting a long time for FFX to finally come to PC! And so far I am very pleased with the quality with which it has been ported.

I strongly recommend playing around with keybinds to make this experience better. It takes a while to get used to, playing with a keyboard, but I'm at ease now with my chosen keybinds. The graphics are beautiful compared to my memories of the pixellated graphics on the Playstation 2, and so far the game is exactly as I remembered it! Perfect.

Have not crashed or experienced any bugs, it's a delight to play once you get used to the keyboard arrangements. (though I'm sure many people play with a controller still, I prefer keyboard.)

Hello, I never touched Harvest Moon.

My first foray into this type of game was with World's Dawn just recently. Which I thought was pretty adorable, but this? Stardew Valley is amazing, IF you want a nice, peaceful, countrylife simulator. I see reviews from people talking about how boring the game is... And the question is... How did they -not- know what they were even purchasing?

Stardew Valley! Where you have a -massive- farm, can have friendships and relationships with the villagers, explore, go mining, adventuring! Fishing! There has been a lot of flack about the fishing in this game, but it's really NOT hard if you know how to click a mouse.

The villagers are a bit rude and standoff-ish at first, but they get better once you appeal to their better natures. ;3

There is so much to DO in this, it is not boring at all, in my humble opinion. Have not personally experienced any crashing nor bugs, but the developer is literally working around the clock to fix anything and everything that may pop up. The sign of a developer who loves his game.

I am someone who wanted to play Harvest Moon, but never did. As a result, I can't compare the two games like everyone else is doing. But! This game is absolutely adorable.

I spent -all- day in it on release day (and plan to do it again today!) and the only thing I have to complain about is the day speed. No, there is no "limit". I just feel that 40 seconds in real life for an ingame hour is a bit fast - I feel like it takes half the day to get to town. (I'm also the type of person that downloaded NRAAS Relativity for The Sims just to slow it down a bit, haha.)
++EDIT: Having played through a couple of seasons now, and owning my horse, the ingame time is fine :) ++

But all in all:
- The music is nice and doesn't get repetitive on the ears.
- The writing is pretty well written.
- I am really enjoying all the different characters and their personalities.
- Male and Female romance options, for both genders.
- Farming / Mining / Fishing / Markets / Festivals!
- Yes. This is an RPG Maker game. Want to cry about it? There's a corner over there. *points*.
- Worth the money? Yes!

I tend not to run everywhere, so the sprinting-losing-stamina sound doesn't affect me like others. But apparently it has now been changed in an update! :)
