I awoke in a cold sweat from a dream. The dream was of Kayz, but he was in a land I did not recognize. The air was dry. Cliffs towered to the sky. I saw what appeared to be mountains, but they rolled like the oceans, like oceans of sand and stone. Kayz stood unwavering. His eyes pierced the distance, fixated on something afar. Then, so suddenly, at his side I saw the glint of a blade. The arid wind brushed his cloak aside to reveal it further. A dagger so intricate, laden with ivory and gemstones. As the dagger disappeared behind Kayz's cloak I felt the memories of the blade pierce my mind. The events of a history known only to that old blade. I saw the dagger cut great warriors of old. I saw it lost to the seas. I dreamt it being wielded again by warlords and gods. Then, as the memories started to fade, I saw Kayz grasp its handle. I saw Kayz's silhouette began to fade he walked away. The wind thrashed his cloak and hair, but his eyes looked straight.
