The game looks great & has great gear progression.
The game has many, many core issues that makes it barely playable :

1. You often get stuck on one block height while going upward.
2. Clicking on terrain makes your character go schizo (inaccurate trajectories, massive jiggling & wall huging).
3. Terrain sometimes overlaps paths & you always follow narrow paths.

4. Crowd control, Knockback & obnoxious terrain generation from mobs is omnipresent.
5. No auto-pickup for food, potion & combat items.
6. Some enchants are drasticaly worse than others (ex: Speed Synergy < Swiftfooted).


Clicking LC is a one time movement order or one time AA.
Holding LC is TAWM if the initial order is AA.
Holding LC is MO if the initial order is movement.
AWM is its own keybind and triggers an AA in an area when used with MO.


7. No option to split LC movement & AA properties into 2 keybinds.
8. Spamming LC for AA & movement is extremely tiresome:
- it requires a lot of precise and quick clicks,
- you have to wait for windups not to cancel AA,
- LC 2+ times on a mob makes your character walk up & Hug them instead of attacking at max range.

This can be avoided by using MO+AWM instead, BUT :

9. When using MO & attacking with AWM (MO+AWM), the game locks you into TAWM when you release the AWM key when targeting an ennemy. You have to release LC and start a new MO order to attack freely again. This means that when you use MO+AWM, every time this occurence happens, you have to :
- realise it is happening,
- release both keys (you are basically stun-lockded until you do),
- move away from your target because when it occurs you always trigger the Hug issue,
- start new MO and AWM orders, until it happens again.
This issue solely makes MO+AWM obsolete.


Issues 1,2,3,4,5,8 & 9 together makes this game the number 1 game on steam to hurt your wrist on.

LC : Left Click
AA : Auto Attack
MO : Move Only
AWM : Attack Without Moving
TAWM : Targetet AWM

Well rounded gameplay & amazing shaders that you sadly cannot get the best of because of performance issues.
+ memory leaks
EHG did amazing job with servers on 1.1, no lag whatsoever with 100k+ players.
The best game for a new ARPG player.
Great mechanics for gear-progression & item chase (crafting accessibility & Legendary Potential).

Amazing story, aesthetic & simple gameplay.
Could be GOTY a second time w/ Shadow Of The Erdtree.
No boss runback is great.
Base game has huge flaws :
UI & controls are painful (From Software hates keyboard players).
Crazy amount of assets redundancy.
Few boring bosses also.

Great & innovative gameplay ideas, ends up clunky.
Camera control is pure nightmare. Don't fight it.
Play it for the story & Dafoe.
