The bad reviews are mostly from people who played gunz 1 and expected a game like gunz 1. But it's not.

I recommend this game to people who never played gunz and want to jump right into the game, the movement and the game itself is still unique and worth a try.

Why gunz 1 players hate this game? Becouse they fixed the movement exploits they had in gunz 1, it was part of the game and required a lot of skill and practice so you can't really jump right into gunz 1. So if you want to play with movement exploits thats hard to learn and requires a lot of skill, go play gunz 1.

Long story short:
Gunz 1: Hard to learn, hard to master
Gunz 2: Easy to learn, hard to master
