the actual gameplay is just okay. the rest of it is unfunny, annoying, and highly disrespectful to the trombone, the most noble of brass instruments. this game will tarnish the reputation of the trombone for years to come. may god have mercy on the creator of this awful zoomer fever dream.

Early Access Review
good for what it is and a fun simulator, but it could go a lot farther to really accurately reflect the american political system. i think if your goal is to make this game an educational tool, its more useful to present the system as it is, and not necessarily as the idealized version taught in government classes. even though there's definitely an effort to make it non-partisan and fair to either side, it seems clear to me that the author of the game likely considers themselves a "liberal" and/or a "moderate" and thus reflects an understanding of american politics that people with other viewpoints on the left and right would disagree with.

i would really like to see some ideological breadth added to the game, with the ability to be anything from a communist to a fascist. related to that would of course be the option to run as an independent or form your own party. sure, there are effectively only two parties on a national level, but independents and third party candidates are often successful more locally, and it would be fun to try and grow a third party to a national scale, or lead a movement to push the major parties toward a certain position.

i'd also like to see some incorporation and/or acknowledgement of the faults of the american system, especially in regards to corruption and campaign finance, which are things that virtually everyone agrees are problems. i'd love to see scandals that force people to resign from office or drop out of a race. also, the way that campaigning works in the game is pretty different from how it often works in practice. its just too nice overall.

there's all sorts of different little things that could be added or changed to make the game reflect american politics really well, but those are the big ones for me. i think you can do a lot with those elements of the game without pissing anyone off too much. overall, i really like it and i'm excited to see where it goes. making a game like this is a tightrope act, but you can't please everybody.
