I don't get it. It feels like MMORPG, but without people, quests or storyline… Isn't the world too big for 50 players? Yeah, I barely played it, I know, but I don't like games where I should invent how to entertain myself, because I can do it in real life anyway. Games should capture attention, right?

However! I really liked those huge NPCs in videos. I'd like to see these battles in some story context. It also would be great to have at least one city with ally NPC, dialogs etc. Player is abandoned from the begining and it's frustrating. I don't wanna ask globally from some other players in chat about all the rules, about what should I do etc, because it's METAGAME. Our characters are not telepaths.

The game is so bad that all players who bought this should have a special access to some DLCs from the Dying Light 2. Like if you agree, so devs could see it.

The original review:

Who cares about all these silly looking skins in such a gloomy setting? Really, the only thing your "cool" suit reveals is the lack of any taste on your side. Take a look at those screenshots: they may look good only for 14 yo kids who just don't know/care about aesthetics. Okay, devs want to make some lazy profit selling textures, but why the world in this game looks so oversaturated? I mean, I can totally live with one more lootbox game with a mindless target audience, but the UGLY half-sequel made by the same studio? The original title was too good to make such a rainbow-colored crap of it.
Even though I got it with a huge price-off, it made me feel really terrible -- just by the mere fact they thought I may like it. Also it will obviously become f2p someday. so why have I lost my money, again?

not good enough.

upd:
years later, I spent ≈100 more hours to figure once again, that I still don't like it. one the one hand, it's player skill based, which is good. even if you're high level dude, you won't be overpowered by that. on the other hand, you don't need to be high level when you have a great set of armor. which you can steal easily (from dead enemies or shops). so, by that time all the money you get won't have any point, because you can't spend it really. it's great in the beginning, but it's just not interesting to play starting from the first quater of the game.

Just buy it and test for an hour, then decide worth it or not. To me, it's not engaging. I've played for 30 mins, finished the first tile, and I found the wolrd lifeless, I didn't get the motivation of these guys, didn't get how they relate to each other. The setting is pretty clear, but it didn't make me believe in it. Sometimes you can play something «unbelievable» just because of mechanics, but it's not the case. They fight pretty automatically, putting the specials aside.

I'd like to mark it positive just because I'd wish it to be the game I imagine, with a great story, interesting mechanics, REAL TURNS (not timed), maybe more complex, with tough decisions. However, IT's TOTALLY NOT THERE. I've read the 1.1 patch notes and I guess it could be playable somewhere at 2.0.

Also, I've encountered a bug when some NPC hold the same tile with my dude. When he stepped aside, the enemy just stood there, not moving, allowing to hit him, helpless.

I've played for 90mins just for some new experience (never played card games). I knew, I won't play it long, because there are so many things to invest your time rather than simply spend it.

Also, I didn't find it atmospheric and truthful. Why the heck I have a crab on my side? It's a mere speculation of the TES' terminology to create a money-sucking game mechanic.

My review is mostly negative, because of:

1. Pricing (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/464350/discussions/0/351659808492806689/)
2. No isolation between veterans and newbies (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/464350/discussions/0/1745594817445565984/).

I hope to change it someday.

👎💰 «Yes», if you don't want to pay for the offline script execution as much as if you play some AAA MMORPG by the greatest brands.
😅«Funny», if you want it look more like a game, with leveled servers for players of different skills, making it more interesting and fairly competing.

Leaving a vote lifts the review up, so it's more likely to see such changes in future.

Занятно, но топорно. Брал по скидке в 40% и всё равно вернул спустя полтора часа. Быть может, на более поздних стадиях развития и с большей скидкой попробую вновь.

Хотя, вообще говоря, рекомендую попробовать собственноручно. Позаряжать пушки, подраять палубу и всё такое. Сам по себе экспириенс интересный.

Seems nice, feels great, sounds really well, but – abandoned somewhere in the middle. Encourage you to claim for a cashback just to motivate the developer team to work on this gem.

upd:
changed polarity of my review. it was negative, now it's positive. devs are working on the game, making patches. I guess it could be a playable piece of a meditative game.
