I'm supposed to wake up early today, but this game has me crying and pissing and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at odd hours of the night.

Although the fourth wall breaks get to be a little too much toward the end in my opinion, and some of the puzzles can be a bit tricky, depending on how good your puzzle solving skills are, but I still consider this game one of the best. It took a leap of faith with its experimentation and executed it beautifully while mixing in a compelling story that can be enough to have grown, hairy-chested men in tears, questioning their sense of morality. What I personally find really convenient about this game is that virtually anyone who knows how to navigate the Windows operating system (mainly the file explorer) can pick it up and enjoy it, so even your grandma could possibly experience it. I already know my mom isn't gonna hear the end of it from me.

You get to unravel mysteries of ancient aliens in space while stuck in a Groundhog Day time loop. That's how you describe a masterpiece.

I never felt bored playing this game. Many open world games can be walking simulators, but Outer Wilds is entertaining every step of the way. The way you go about progressing is also one of the most unique and fascinating, where the only thing holding you back from just straight-up beating the entire game in your first run is your lack of knowledge on how to go about it, and you get to slowly gather all that knowledge as you continue to explore the solar system. Almost every piece of information you gather is important. All of the planets are different in their own ways, each of them offering new experiences to the player. You can tell the minds behind this game just let their creativity run wild. The game is breathtakingly beautiful in so many ways. I could talk about it all day, but I wanna keep this at least somewhat short.

Though this is my favorite game at the moment, there are some elements that won't make this game for everyone:
- While the story makes sense the majority of the way, it becomes pretty abstracted toward the end.
- Yes, it has an end, and there's absolutely no replay value. This is a game you can only experience once.
- Most of the game's story is in scripts that you find on walls and stuff, so you can imagine there's a lot of reading to be done in this game. While the game logs all the information you gather and pretty much gives you the spark notes on it, it's still vital to read everything there is to read if you want to get invested in the story.
- The controls are a little complicated, so if you have little to no experience in video games, you might find it difficult (although, I did play on keyboard+mouse when the recommended way of playing is with a game pad like a PlayStation or Xbox controller, so there's that to note as well).

With that said, the game's a 10/10 for me.
