It will probably get better and more polished with time but I'm already having lots of fun. It's definitely playable and enjoyable by now.

It has a lot of flaws, some of them quite major (especially having movesets by weapon type rather than weapon, and rather minimal enemy variety), but it also has a lot of cool ideas and the aesthetics are awesome. The worldbuilding is pretty cool too. It seems to be heavily hit or miss amongst soulslike fans but if it's a hit it's gonna hit you real hard. It's also relatively easy and relaxing most of time (though you have to watch out for nasty ambushes/traps straight out of DkS1/2) though it may be a whiplash effect from having finished Shadow of the Erdtree a moment ago. Anyway, I enjoyed this one a lot, and right from the start. If you're not feeling it in the first 2 hours I doubt it's gonna get much better for you.

Painful to play.

JA2 made more modern and more casual - which is great and exactly what I had hoped for. It's still unmistakably a Jagged Alliance game. There's some flaws here and there but there's a mod workshop and the devs are clearly actually working on even further improving the game. Love it so far.

Neat game, great visuals and a lot more weapon variety than I'd expected.

There's some jank and other issues and worst of all is the agressive DLC tactic locking CORE CLASSES behind a paywall which almost made me refund the game before even starting.

I didn't refund, though I'm really miffed about those classes. Well, anyway, the game is pretty alright. It's one of the closest renditions of D&D in all games. Plenty of times I thought to myself "nah, they probably didn't include this from 5e" but they did. That is to say, it's not 100% accurate, but I think it's fair to give it a 95% accurate rating.

The main campaign is alright. The visuals are fairly cool, the encounters are interesting, dungeons are alright. The setting and the story are passable, though I must admit I really liked the party members' banter. The system where you design their personality and then that's how their responses line up is pretty great.

Overall it's a fairly good game. In particular if you know and like D&D 5e then you should definitely give it a try.
