I hated this when it launched, but after 2 years of updates it's in a pretty good state. The core gameplay is a well-executed modern version of Halo 3, it's still slow enough to feel like Halo but responsive enough to feel like a modern game. The UI is crappy and I've had party issues occasionally where all of us can't get into the same match. My biggest gripe is that the customization pales in comparison to previous games, but if this wasn't f2p no one would be playing it :p

my favorite BR game, movement and general gameplay mechanics are fantastic, however the game has a lot of problems

the loot boxes in this game are worse than most, you will rarely get any good cosmetics without spending money
the devs do not balance new guns and characters properly, when a new season drops there is always some new OP gun/hero and they take half the season to fix it
everything outside of the game itself is jank, servers are terrible and the menus are janky
you can get banned for trash-talking which is lame
