You get your money's worth, specially on a steam sale (which this game gets a lot, I almost bought it before), I got this game with 90% off and it felt like a steal, great fun for a great price.

This is a solid good old fun type of game. The levels are well designed and engaging. It's more slow paced game, but that comes with stealth games. There is a decent amount of freedom but not a lot, still kinda on rails, you can avoid some engagements or outposts, go for more snipes or go for more close kills, that kind of stuff. Took me about 18 hours to complete the story mode and unlock all the weapons, gadgets, skills, etc., but I really enjoy stealth and took my time. You'll definitely get at least 12 hours of fun out of this game.

You can tailor your snipe experience, meaning you can go with a lot of help with wind and bullet drop, some help or go full "realistic" with less hud and no help with wind and bullet drop. I finished the game on "medium" (some help) and later went for a second run on the hardest difficult, which was pretty fun and not as hard as you would imagine.

When it comes to DLC, there isn't really much that its offered, it's basically skins and a few weapons. Just the base game weapons are all that you need. There is nothing OP that is offered as DLC. Don't worry about buying DLC, unless you really want/like a specific skin or weapon.

If you like stealth, it's a must buy. If you like sniping, it's a must buy. On a sale? You can't go wrong.

Only worth during a sale, where you buy "Darktide Imperial Edition" for the same price of "Darktide base game" and with a good discount. Meaning you get those 2.5k Aquilas (the premium currency to get fancy in game cosmetics) basically for free.

The outfits, skins and backpack are just ok, nothing to write home about, there is way cooler stuff in-game to be unlocked for free (some grind) and bought (in-game shop with Aquilas). The good things are the Aquilas and the soundtrack, but the soundtrack you could argue that you can just go and listen to it on youtube for free... so, basically, just the Aquilas.

Solid game. Not perfect. Not trash.

Darktide is a tough "review", while I'm kinda new to this game (20-ish hours atm), I'm not new to the genre. Cooperative PvE games are one of my favorites, like Payday 2, DRG, Helldivers 2, Left 4 Dead, etc.; and I'm kinda new to W40K universe, but not a complete newbie.

There are a lot of negative reviews, but Darktide is actually a good game. Not perfect. Not trash. Just a solid game. In a world where games must be 10/10 or 1/10, this is a solid 7.5/10.

The game is very faithful to the W40K universe, and that alone is really respectable. Let's be honest here, there are NOT a lot of good W40K games out there, ok? When it comes to artwork, overall design, sound, atmosphere, voice acting, original soundtrack, etc the game is a 10/10. No questions asked.

On top of that, Darktide's gameplay loop is very fun, it has 4 classes that feel pretty unique, each class has 3 possible "ultimates" to choose, meaning you kinda have 12 classes to play with, but you can also create different builds around those ultimates and with quite a variety of different melee and guns, meaning that the "toy box" is pretty big, so there is a lot of fun to be had. It might feel weird to some players at first, because usually in games like these your primary weapon is a gun, not a melee, but in Darktide melee is your primary and guns are your secondary. Sure, there are some builds, specially with the Veteran (1 of the 4 classes) where you can pretty much make your gun a primary. but that's another conversation. If you've played Vermintide, you will feel right at home, and if you haven't, don't worry, it does not take long to get used to it, and it's really fun.

Of course, as I said, the game is not perfect. The game is kinda heavy on the hardware and very grindy (but there is no pay2win stuff). The main thing: it seems to be really slow with updates, which is something that the veterans of the game complain the most about (Team Fortress 2 is one of my fav games of all time, so I understand that feeling quite well), but for new players, that is not that noticeable at all, there is plenty of content for them/us, you get your money's worth, 100%. The main problem, from what I see, is that game updates and balance patches are taking a very long time, while the in-game shop (just cosmetics, tho) gets content, and the game seems to lack a bit of that "end game content" for veteran players to strive for.

What does it all mean? (TLDR) It means that the game has amazing sound, design, atmosphere, voice acting and gameplay, all tied with a solid gameplay loop that will give you dozens to hundreds of hours of fun without pay2win but it does not get a lot of updates, takes a good PC to run it, is very grindy and lacks a "big end game content" for veteran players to strive for.

Look, I remember when my PS1 and PS2 games were what they were (I'm 30 years old), there were no updates, no "day 1 patch", etc... and, maybe, that somewhat helps me appreciate a solid game for what it is instead of calling it trash. Sure, that is not an excuse to not update the game today, since back then there were no updates because of tech reasons... anyway, I'll stop this tangent right here, but I think you get the idea.

Is it worth it? While a 7.5/10 game might not be worth a full price, specially if money is an issue, if you like Co-op PvE games, it's worth it. If you like W40K, it's worth it. On sale? 100% worth it.

The game is really fun. I had more than 130+ of fun (and pain, specially when playing Hardcore Freelancer mode, which is really difficult and sometimes unfair), so I would say I got my money's worth.
The story mode is really good, with a decent and engaging story, there are many story missions with many assassinations with hundreds and hundreds of possibilities and replayability. That alone is worth the price, but there are also many escalation contracts and contracts that the community creates, elusive targers (a live event assassination) and the Freelancer mode (a rouguelike mode that fits the game perfectly).

Immortal and One of a kind

It is one of the gateways to PC gaming, some say that you probably can't call yourself a PC gamer if you haven't at least tried this game.

Honestly, it is a one of a kind game. It has an immortal art style, full of personality and charisma, delivered with top tier voice acting, mixed with good old chaotic fun gameplay. You can have fun straight out of the gate, no questions asked, but there is also so much to learn and master... if you want to.

Nowadays, sure, it's kinda left to the side by Valve, but don't let that stop you, it has a huge, active and caring community. If you are not sure about the game: give it a try. It's free and light, specially for today's hardware.

It's the game that I always come back. I might not play it for a couple of months, but I never uninstall it, because I know that when I need to lay back and just have some fun, TF2 is always there and I can just hop in and play a couple of matches... and suddenly it's 3 AM and we're doing a conga line across the map.

Amazing replayability, great gameplay, solid story but you need a guide on "how/what to buy" and be online all the time in a singleplayer game

The good:
The gameplay is awesome (all of them, Hitman 1, 2 and 3), the story is solid (nothing life changing, but not stupid) and the replayability is the main thing. From finding "scripted" stuff/assassinations, to going for a Suit Only and Silent Assassin score.

The bad:
The way that they made the editions, it's a mess, it's not fully clear what comes with what edition, what carries over and what does not, etc.
Also, you can only progress (unlock stuff, get points, etc) if you are online. If the connection is not perfect, you or them, too bad for you. The idea was to eliminate piracy. That does not work, there are still pirate versions of the game with everything unlocked. The only thing that it does is hurt and annoy the paying honest player. It's like banning guns IRL saying that by doing so, the criminals won't use them. It's dumb. Criminals are, well, criminals, and they will find a way to access the illegal thing, because they don't care about the law, so the only thing that something like that do is hurt the regular citizen, in this analogy, us players.

I almost don't want to recommend the game, but I love the Hitman franchise and these last Hitman 1, 2 and 3 are very fun, I just dislike the way that they handled the editions and the "online only".

Not a masterpiece (yet?), but a damn good game.

A lot of the new stuff in AoE IV is awesome, despite what AoE II purists say. The small details, such as when you build mills, barracks, etc., you see paths forming between the buildings, they have little gardens and stuff. You can finally put military at the stone walls. The sheep now follow your scout, meaning less annoying micro. The new "Landmark System" is awesome, both as Age Up and as Winning Condition. The single player campaign is great, filled with a high budget documentary.

The "bad thing" is that the game could have launched with more civs, but the amount is not that bad because there is a decent variety when it comes to their play style, units and bonuses. The main drawback was the price at launch. That being said, this game is 100% worth with a small discount.

It's worth on a sale.
or if you're into akimbo/pistols

The great thing about this weapon pack is that it fills a gap in the game. Until now, the only full auto pistol was the STRYK 18c (Glock 18C), so if you wanted a full auto pistol that was the only option for single or akimbo.

This is where weapon packs should aim at (haha, aim at it... get it? Sorry. I'll find the exit myself), improve some aspects of the game, fill a gap, give more options and not just 'reskins' of weapons.

This pack gives you more options for full auto pistols single and akimbo with great mods! If you're into Akimbo or Pistols, go for it. If not, wait for a sale.

It's a good weapon pack!

Overall score: 8.6/10.

It's 100% worth on a sale, on full price it's up to you, but even on full price it wouldn't be a bad deal.

Quick review and score about the weapons/mods:

The Holt 9 mm Pistol is just another 'generic' pistol. Nothing great about it, it's just another solid pistol.
Score: 7/10.

The R700 Sniper Rifle is good. It's a sniper rifle with basically the same stats from the Rattlesnake. A good sniper rifle that works up to Death Sentence difficult, just like the Rattlesnake. It's a classic sniper rifle, good looking and great sound.
Score: 8.5/10.

The M60 LMG is the BEST thing about this weapon pack! It is really good, it is a high damage with low firerate kind of LMG (similar to RPK and Brenner) but with a huge magazine (200 ammo). So, overall, a better version of the RPK or the Brenner. It's a classic LMG, good looking and great sound.
Score: 10/10.

The B-Team Stock for the M308 DMR is pretty good. It's a really high concealment mod for the M308 (DMR) that now allows dodge builds to use a DMR. If you're a dodge player and like a high damage DMR, this is for you.
Score: 9/10.
