Don't play this game, don't go down this rabbit hole

Really good RTS for the Classical era. I recommend every RTS fan out there to buy this game as it is easily one of the best strategy games I've ever played.

This game is filled with detail (while sometimes the historical accuracy is flawing, you can use the DEI mod for extra realism), including civil wars, a whole political section of the game (including houses/families, bribes/adoptions,etc), research trees, etc.

This game used to be cool, now it's a pay2win piece of crap that skips all the research there was before, and you can just buy all the parts.
