As hard as addictive.

Super Meat Boy is a hard platformer with good level design and a good difficulty balance between chapters.

In my opinion, half of the difficulty comes from the controls themselves. The main character, Meat Boy, is really fast and slippery, making maneuvering on small platforms really difficult sometimes. However, once you get used to the controls and learn the ins and outs of the characters, it's a very fun game, and a great challenge if you want to tackle the achievements.
